About
Carved from forests of towering oaks and pines, Old Corkscrew Golf Club exhibits all of the superior characteristics that define Nicklaus Signature courses. The absence of houses around the golf course adds to the secluded and peaceful feel that is provided by the dense thickets of trees that surround it. Jack Nicklaus himself was a prominent presence throughout every phase of the course's construction, incorporating well balanced holes that vary in direction, look, and feel. Proper club selection will be greatly rewarded on this golf course. The fast-paced, undulating greens sit up to 20 feet above the lush, rolling fairways, which can create some tricky pin placements if you're not careful. Old Corkscrew Golf Club's fairways are rather generous, but they are framed by carefully sculpted bunkers. Several large ponds come into play on nearly every hole and there are also numerous sand traps strategically placed along the greensides.

Not Easy, But Definitely Enjoyable
Easy the best public course in the Fort Myers / Naples area. Yes it is a little pricey, but compared to others, it worth it. It you are a lower handicap, you will enjoy the challenge. If you are a high handicap, good luck.

Hard
Most difficult greens complex I have played in a long time. Had a great time.

Nice course to play, long and hard
Greens were true and in good condition. Lots water and sand. Plenty of places to get in trouble, especially if your short and even more if your long. Lots wildlife. Pricey but with it in Naples in prime time.

Old Corkscrew is a go!
Course is fun to play, but very challenging. Course was in fair shape, none of the sand traps have been raked in a while. Some greens had some damage, but playable.

Expensive, but worth it
Layout was challenging and fun. Played from the gold tees as recommended and were glad we did. Greens were fast but fair. Conditions could not have been better.
The only noise on the course was from the birds.
Cant wait to play this course again.

Very challenging
The course was beat up. Obviously getting a lot of play! Greens ok, bunkers need work, and for the $$ should be in better shape overall! For 10-15 handicappers the landing areas on many holes aren’t very generous. Somewhat surprised this is a Nicklaus design? Played it twice last week. The 2nd loop much better than the first. I’m sure I’ll ply again. If your tee ball is uncontrollable be careful. You’ll lose more balls than you like!

Tough track
Better have your game dialed in. This is a tough course. Need a good short game or laser approach irons.
