Great Layout & Condition
Course was in especially great condition even after a rainy 3-4 days. Layout was fun & challenging - I will definitely be back.
Lots of weeds on tee boxes. Needs some work on the entire course. Pro was not welcoming since we are not members.
Venetian and River CC
The course condition was very poor with weeds on most tees, stones/shell in the bunkers and fungus in some of the fairway grass. The greens had been aerated making them very sandy and uneven.
I understand the course has just been bought by Heritage Group who need to invest money in the course of it is to ever deliver on its potential.
Attitude
Second time in two weeks to play here. Pro shop lady was very unfriendly both times. Expressed her dislike for GolfNow. Greens were just punched so price should have been reduced as a result.
The course conditions were disappointing
The course layout was fine. The greens were very slow. The bunkers were in poor condition. The fairways were fine. Overall I found the conditions disappointing.
Wet and Wild but perfect
The. Venice area has received many inches of rain this week yet this course was in great playing condition. Barometer wet areas but well marked and not really in play if you hit a decent shot. The greens are a little slow but roll true. The fairways are wet but balls still have lots of roll. The staff is ways friendly and helpful. I will be coming back as often as I can afford it. Keep up the good work VGRC.
VENETIAN
Due to recent rain it was cart path only. The course is not set up well for cart path only. Paths are well away from fairways. There are a fair number of traps and they are in need of maintinance. Otherwise the course was in great shape.. All the staff was very friendly and seemed happy to have us play their course.
Cart path only
Course was in good shape but wet. Cart path only so pace of play was a little slow.
Friendly Staff - Great Layout
Staff were extremely friendly! Members seemed to be questioning why we were there and were not welcoming. Two separate groups of members made comments to us while on the range. Greens were soft and slow due to rain. Course was in good shape overall and liked the layout. Hope to play again in the fall.
Great course!!
First time playing this course. Even though it was a little damp from rain the previous day, it was it great shape. This course is very long and open! If it was completely dry it would have been even better. Def will be returning sometime soon, the staff was great!
Awesome Experience
I have Zero complaints about this golf course. Very friendly staff from the pro shop, starter and ranger. Awesome staff and the course has a great lay out with several tee boxes for all range of players. Had a great time. Would definitely recommend to all my friends.
Even though this golf course was under maintenance it is one of the most beautiful layouts in southwest Florida. Can’t wait to get out there again !
Hats off to the whole staff there as they are absolutely awesome !
