Mansfield National Golf Club
About
Mansfield National Golf Club's tees range from 5,263 to 6,850 yards and the course plays to a par 72. The large, undulating greens make for inviting targets. The fairways are lined by every type of tree imaginable, with bunkers looming to suck in tee shots. Scores can add up on holes 11 and 16, with the lake coming into play, but water comes into play on only four holes total. The best hole is no. 5, considered one of the toughest par 3s in north Texas. It plays a very 3-wood-like 233 yards into a tough green that's hard to hold with the wind at your back. Located just south of Arlington Mansfield National also offers FootGolf, a combination of soccer and golf.

Slow, terrible experience
I was looking forward to playing Mansfield, but I left very disappointed.
Pace of play (+5 hours) was ridiculous. Bunkers had no sand, just dirt, fairways were patched with sod of different varieties, cart paths were jarring. Greens were best part of the course.
Green fees for this course make it overpriced for the value.
Easy course slower greens
Easy course
Was windy and wet
Staff and cart girls great
Greens a little slow just had tournament this weekend
It could be so Good……..
I am an Acris member I play here at least 2 times a week.
The Good
It’s close.
If you start early you can beat the crowds.
The greens are usually in good shape.
The bad.
Tees boxes are always jacked up. Par3s I think they clean the boxes once a week.
Between the divots and old tees everywhere. Or the they don’t mow the tee boxes.
They water every morning of this course like at 6 am. It’s wet until you reach 16.
Balls will plug near the greens in every hole.
Fairways has all kind of clippings from the mower.
The second cut you will never find your ball.
I lost 3 balls in the first cut last week. And they were ORANGE balls.
The Ugly
First group off is usually 4 older gentlemen who drive on the greens. They slow the pace down. The never obey cart path only signs.
The sand traps are filled with fill dirt. No sand. Just make them grass bunkers and call it a day.
Standing sewage as drive to on the path to hit number6.
Hole 9 the cart path may require back surgery afterwards.
Cart girl shows up in 16 if your lucky in the morning.
And the attitude is all about putting as many people in a tournament and never mind your memebers who play almost daily.
Really they to restructure the fees. I mean they allow gym clothes to be worn. It has goat ranch potential if they don’t change soon.
Check This One Out
I was the lead-off man & zipped through my round in 2-1/2 hrs, which was great. #5 is definitely the hardest hole on the course as it's a 200+ yard par 3 that is mostly all carry going straight at it. Rest of the course is a good test but not too hard and the greens were spot-on perfect. Still had some freeze damage on some tee boxes but all in all it's a good track. Check this one out if you haven't already!
Very Disappointed
Tee boxes were horrendous and uncut…. Greens were way over sanded… better stay on the fairway because you won’t be able to find your ball in the high second cut. Very disappointed for the money spent.
Great first 8 holes until the skiesopenedup
Had a bogey round going till the heavens opened up and it poured
Course maintenance
played this course 4 months ago and the tee boxes were just a disaster and it was simple maintenance. there shouldn't be a 100 broken tees and 75 divots on the par 3's on the boxes. that means you haven't had anyone in a week or so cleaning, checking and moving the tee markers on the tee boxes. just plain lazy or understaffed if you ask me. the pace of play was slow and no one on the course to push along. someone had to call the pro shop in order to get them to come out and push them along. there were a bunch of two-somes and a 5-some and so the management there clearly isn't paying attention. you send out 3 2-somes in a row at 9am on a saturday and a 5-some in front of that? your pace of pya will be all jacked up. sure miss for 65 bucks.
Crab Grass And Dirt
If you like dirt tee boxes - hairy greens - 8 hour pace of play - beautiful weeds lining every inch of the fairway - hard pan on top of hard pan - then this course is for you. I paid the same amount I would for let’s say a grapevine and was BLOWN away on how terrible the conditions were. Now in fairness the greens were decent - they just clearly forgot how to use the mower. Lower the price - get a Marshall - buy some chemicals - and give a hoot about the golfer experience.
Not what it used to be
Have played this course for many years and it’s just not what it used to be! Tee boxes are bare, greens are rough and bumpy. The pace of play was extremely slow and no Marshall to help speed things up!
