Mansfield National Golf Club
About
Mansfield National Golf Club's tees range from 5,263 to 6,850 yards and the course plays to a par 72. The large, undulating greens make for inviting targets. The fairways are lined by every type of tree imaginable, with bunkers looming to suck in tee shots. Scores can add up on holes 11 and 16, with the lake coming into play, but water comes into play on only four holes total. The best hole is no. 5, considered one of the toughest par 3s in north Texas. It plays a very 3-wood-like 233 yards into a tough green that's hard to hold with the wind at your back. Located just south of Arlington Mansfield National also offers FootGolf, a combination of soccer and golf.

Golfer Reviews
love this course
love everything about this course. this was my third time to play and find it challenging but fun. the only thing negative, we were stuck behind a group of 2's that were really bad. they finally merged together but still choked the pace, would have loved a marshall but none could be found. really killed the pace when you have four guys looking for 4 balls after every drive. but that is just the way it happens every once in a while, not mansfield's fault
easygoing
nice course always in good condition, played on during the week course was busy but pace of play was good.
Great value
Found on GN for around $20 on a weekend around 12:30. At that price for a Sunday and nobody on the course it was great. I was playing as a single and didn't run into anybody until hole 16. Played the round in just under 3 hours.
Players don't tend the greens
Coarse was ok. However the greens have divots all over them. The local players evidently do not own a divot tool or tee. If they do then they are to lazy to fix their own ball mark.
E Lopez point of view
Thw only thing that I noticed was the pace to to the way some groups were paired and I missed a marshal keeping the pacem there were singles, twosome, threesomes and even saw a fivesome in front of me.
But regardles of that minor issue, the golf course is great and challenging.
Just challenging enough course
The course is a lot of fun and challenges you just enough, but you can certainly throw up a good score here as well. Love the GPS on the golf carts, you can also keep your score on the gps touchscreen and email it to yourself. Not a big fan of gas golf carts but other than that everything was great.
Not in best shape
I've played this course in super good conditions. It seems like its going down hill just a bit.
great place
great place to be challenged and have some some fun golfing. This course is great it has many bunkers.A great place to go i recommend this course very well.
Staff needs a manners lesson
Clubhouse staff didn't show up until 630a, with 3 groups already scheduled to tee off at 6, 615, and 630. Then the marshal has the audacity at the no.1 tee box to scold the players to play fast, never citing the staff is the reason for a 30min back up at 645am. Golf us meant to be a fun game, marshals like that have no business being out on the course.
5 and a half hours
The slowest I have ever seen any course! 5 to 5 and a half hours is stupid! There is no way it should take that long to play, it doesn't matter how busy it is! Get a Marshall out there and get the speed of play faster! I will not be playing here again!!!
Good Course
Hot that day. Greens ok. Great location, Good food.
Four hour round. Water at every three holes. I would suggest cub cleaning system on carts.
Mansfield National is not the Same
I use to really like this course. It's location is prime and lived up to its "National" title. But seven years later unprofessionalism with employees at the pro shop is obvious. Not very friendly nor are they flexible with pricing discrepancies. The folks at the grill and on course cart girls are nice and professional. I will return, but not as a first or second choice because the pro shop folks have horrible personalities.
I want to enjoy my golfing experience whenever I have the time and money to golf. Always feel awkward there. Not what I expected for the price and hype.
fun to play
Great Coarse to play, friendly staff. Love the GPS on the carts for yardage to pin. Greens were in excellent shape.
Who is maintaining T time schedule?
We were booked for 1253 t time. We arrived early and we asked the employee (only employee at the time) in the pro shop if we would be called to the T. He said "yes". After awhile, we went back in after having seen 2 groups T off. and asked when we were up because we heard NO calls to the T. The employee said we would be up after the 2 groups waiting on the T at the time. We said are you running late because you didn't say anything to us earlier. He walked out the door ,looked out at the #1 T and said "Oh, the group on the T now were supposed to go off at 1222 and they were missing on of their players and the other group has a 1245 T time. It was 1245 which meant we would be 1Pm before we were up. I told the employee that I was not happy - he should have managed the T better and he just turned and walked back inside the pro shop.
Just aerated
The greens were recently aerated but greens still putted true. The greens will be very nice in a couple of weeks but still good playing conditions
Other than the rain, a great day
Other than it raining on us through the first three holes, the day was great. The course was great, carts were great, love the gps on the carts. A little pricy for snacks and drinks but other than that, a great day. Will definitely be coming back!
Fun course!
Had a great time! Some of the holes are tough! Bring all of your clubs!
one of my favs
This course is always in pretty good condition and today it was perfect. The greens are fairly big and roll very true. Fairways seem to have a ton of roll....might be due to a very good stand of grass mowed fairly tight. Had one of my best rounds today...so I'm still on a "Golf High" right now...LOL My only complains are towards muni-minded golfers. (this comes from a former GC Superintendent) fix your ball marks on the greens.....fill in your fairway divots...stop driving up to greens....and stop leaving all your broken tees on the teeboxes. Leave the grounds like you would like to find them!
