Indian Wells Golf Resort - Players Course
About
The Players Course is one of two championship courses at Indian Wells Golf Resort, both of which are ranked in the top 20 golf courses in California. Opened in 2007, the course is still young but the landscape's existing trees were carefully incorporated into the layout to give it a more mature feel. The terrain has many assets to offer a round of golf, including plenty of water features and elevation changes. The challenging layout is complete with meticulously sculpted bunkers. It is a scenic course too with lush, well manicured fairways accented by colorful flowers and meandering streams. The design also takes advantage of the stunning views of the surrounding Santa Rosa, San Jacinto, and San Bernardino mountains ranges. To the south, Eisenhower Mountain serves as a breathtaking backdrop.

One of my new favorites in the Palm Springs area
My brother in law and I (both single digit handicaps) played here for a first time a few months back. IW Resort is one of my new favorite spots in the Coachella Valley! Great staff, challenging golf course and close to everything in the area.
Bunkers, bunkers, bunkers
Tough course. Bunkers protecting every green and a lot of pitched fairways make this a very challenging course. You really need to think about every shot.
Fantastic Experience
What a great course. Very challenging but beautiful. The course was pristine despite the high heat. I am from Phoenix which has a similar climate but I have never seen a course in Phoenix that lush in June. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the starter. I'll be back, next time in the winter though.
One of my favorite desert courses
Love this course. It was in great shape and early morning pace of play was perfect.
Great desert course
Indian Wells Resort players course is of the best courses in the desert. Tee boxes and fairways were lush with only minor patches of no grass. Greens had great pace. Ii highly recommend this course and the Celebrity course, which is the most picturesque course in the desert.
Great scenery and excellent conditions
Excellent conditions tee to green. Friendly staff.
Great Course! Fun, challenging and in wonderful condition
Highly Recommended
Overall great course, well thought out layout with no two holes alike, good mix of short and long holes, dog leg lefts and rights, strategic use of water and bunkering both fairway and greenside. Course conditions must be noted - excellent tee to green and I would have to say some of the best greens I've ever played.
My only complaint is lack of food options mid round - the routing is such that you don't end at the clubhouse after nine so no chance to eat, given this I was a little disappointed with the on course food cart. This is only a minor point and only impacted me as we had a 10Am tee time playing through lunch. Could have been better prepared if I had known but was first time playing course.
