Wildcat Golf Club - The Highlands
About
The Highlands Course is probably the more stimulating of the two tracks at Wildcat GC, offering better views of the city, natural wetlands and grasses, and some intriguing flat sand bunkers. Case must have an affinity for the No. 7, because like the Lakes track, the 421-yard, par 4 hole 7 is the most difficult rated hole. Watch out for the par 5s on this one, three of which play at or above 570 yards from the tips.
Getting there : From downtown take Hwy. 288 south for 5 miles to Loop 610. Head west and find the Fannin exit, where you'll U-turn under 610 and drive east on the access road to Almeda Rd. Turn right on Almeda and the course is 3 miles further.

My go to. Always
I played tournaments here and when they finished the airport road to Buffalo extension, it only got easier to get there and what a beautiful drive is a bonus. The pandemic only drove us closer. I play almost weekly. Two courses. Best use of a landfill Ever. Great work Team awesome!!!
Wildcat Highlands
Reasonable course - Good condition, arrival and check in well organised. Staff very helpful.
Golfer 60
Golf course conditions are good.Peace of play slow.We are played 2 times.Next time we will be playing different courses.
Good course, a little pricey
Nice course to play, however it always seems like Lakes is either closed to public due to maintenance or tournaments. Highlands is challenging and is good shape
Great track
Both the Highlands and Lakes courses are challenging, but they’re also fun and score-able. Not quite five stars as there are certainly some areas/tee boxes where turf isn’t in the best shape, a few greens could use some work as well, but overall high quality golf experience.
Snobby workers
Saw good reviews and wanted to play here. So I was excited to play here however, first thing I noticed was the carts were not good. No GPS and ripped seats. Weeds were everywhere and the pace of play was horrible. 1st tee box was packed so I was told to start at 10. Then as I play on I see a bunch of workers playing holding up the course back on hole 4 or 5. Unbelievable behavior from the staff. Just a overhyped municipal course. Best thing was the city views, besides that not coming back for the price.
Was just meh
Maybe I was expecting too much since I saw this course on a lot of Top 10 courses in Texas. I golfed Heritage because the other course was closed. That meant everybody golfed Heritage and it was packed and slow. The marshal allowed a 5-some behind us. I've golfed courses in Phoenix that don't have a weed. This course definitely had weeds. No GPS on the carts. It seemed like a standard middle-of-the-road public course. I don't get the hype.
Nice Golf, Very Good Conditions
My wife and I played this course and really enjoyed the lay out of the course. We had perfect weather and since we were a twosome a couple of players in front let us through. We have a very nice 4 hr round.
