Nice Course, Feels like it's missing something
I played Blackhorse North this past weekend 1/23, booking a last minute tee time as a single. I've played the South Course before, and was aware of the high bar that it set for the course. I will say this wholeheartedly, the green fee is not worth the golf course. $120 for a Saturday morning with spotty fairways, slow greens, and stacked tee times just isn't worth it in my opinion. Pace of play was surprisingly good, finishing in 4 hours 10 minutes in a foursome with 4 carts. I'll go to High Meadow Ranch or Cypresswood Traditions before going back to Blackhorse.
Awesome layout
Greens were hard and fast, really tough pin placements. Few areas under repair but overall great condition for winter golf.
Good layout but needs a lot of work
They have lost the greens and grass is not great on the fairways. Not worth the money.

Nice layout
Enjoyed the course with lots of elevation change. Plenty of room off the tee with challenging greens.

Note...
Had to pay extra to ride solo. Disappointing. Senior golfer trying to stay safe from Covid.

Thank you for the 4 star review! We are charging a fee of $18 for single rider requests. We did offer this without a fee from March till September. Hope to see you at the course again soon!

Slow Play
5:30 minutes from the first tee to the parking lot. The course was stacked with people who were reading putts like they were in the masters, and spraying the ball all over the place, with two practice swings a stroke. There was a Marshall out there, so I don’t understand why it wasn’t addressed. We waited 10 minutes on the tee, and 10 minutes on approach on the majority of holes. The course holds a lot of water, and was very muddy and moist. The greens were superb compared to other local courses. The layout involves a lot of blind shots.

Thank you for the feedback. We put a lot of emphasis on pace of pace, but we will take this to the team to make sure we improve on it. During the holidays, we do get a lot of casual golfers, but pace of play should never be 5:30. Hope to see you at the course again, and we will make sure our marshals get more involved next time. Thanks.

Great course. Challenging tee shots
Great course, very near Downtown. Very friendly staff. In Perfect condition even after a storm day . 8th hole killed me but but I loved the design . My favorite holes : 13th (because of views and also birdie it ) and 18th

A good test
Always a fun day here. Lakes a little easier and today conditions were perfect. When it blows it can be a real test

A great afternoon
The weather helped but I do really enjoy this course. The course challenges you in different ways, you have to think about your choice of club instead of automatically reaching for the driver off every tee. The greens were in good shape (except a brown/bare patch on one of the back nine). The pace of play was great, we never quite caught up to the group in front and always had a hole between us and the group behind. If you play golf in Houston and haven’t played Wildcat Lakes yet then you should.

Thank you for visiting us at Wildcat Golf Club. We truly appreciate your 5-star review and hope you join us for another round soon!

Rude Patron and Staff
A guy/patron from the group behind us drove up to us to told us to stay off the green with a rather rude manner. Apparently he thinks he saw us from 100+ yards and assumed we were driving on the green. After the game, I went to the patron to explain the situation and he wouldn't listen to our explanation that we did not drive and close to the green. We had to look for a ball and was driving around the green in the rough to match the pace of the game. When I tried to speak with him, he took us to the clubhouse and the clubhouse staffs wouldn't listen to us and assumed that we were too close to the green. We tried to explain we took pride in the cours and the game and were not even close to the green but in the roughs.
We did not appreciate and anticipate that the staffs without confirming and took a side without present any evidence.

Thank you for the feedback. One of our members informed us that your group was driving too close to the greens as well as driving across the bridge on #12 where a sign clearly states "No Carts Beyond This Point". The bridge is not made for carts to drive across, and we have that sign in place everyone's safety as well as keeping carts away from the green. We do ask that all golfers abide by the cart signs keeping carts away from the collars and greens. Thank you.
Thank you for the feedback. During this winter time the grass does look a little different compared to warmer temp periods, but rest assured we have not lost the greens. The greens are right where we want them during this time, and the course will start looking more like you are used to as we see warmer temps come. If you have any questions please reach out. Thanks.
