About
The Highlands Course is probably the more stimulating of the two tracks at Wildcat GC, offering better views of the city, natural wetlands and grasses, and some intriguing flat sand bunkers. Case must have an affinity for the No. 7, because like the Lakes track, the 421-yard, par 4 hole 7 is the most difficult rated hole. Watch out for the par 5s on this one, three of which play at or above 570 yards from the tips.
Getting there : From downtown take Hwy. 288 south for 5 miles to Loop 610. Head west and find the Fannin exit, where you'll U-turn under 610 and drive east on the access road to Almeda Rd. Turn right on Almeda and the course is 3 miles further.

Fireball Shots & Good Vibes
Cart girl has fireball shots and was attractive, but not overly attractive to the point of intimidation. Net positive effect on the round for sure. Lots of rain, but it was cool, my buddy mark played "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" by CCR and we totally vibed on hole 13. Will be back for sure.
Challenging Course with nice Views.
First time playing the course Highlands. Really enjoyed the layout and views. Only negatives were pace of play and greens were recently airated so putting was very tough. Do recommend and will play again.
Great course but greens recently aerated…
This is normally a great course, but the greens were recently aerated and were not in playing condition. The condition of the greens made for a frustrating round unfortunately. On the other hand, great staff and despite the rain, the superb drainage system allowed for 90 degree so the pace of play was outstanding.
Nice Track
I really enjoy playing this course. The only issue this time was the greens were just punched. Maybe another week or two and it will be awesome again.
Very nice course!!!
When I first arrived I was greeted and setup to get started! Loved the course can say anything bad about it….spoiled to having GPS in the cart so that was pretty much the only thing that was bad. Being that it was my first time playing the course I didn’t have much insight into where to hit ….but loved the course!!!!
Challenging course
Highlands is a challenging course. Green were firm / fast but in good shape. Course was in great shape.
Best course in houston
Best public course in houston by a mile. Course conditions in the middle of the summer are perfect. Greens rolling really well, both layouts are great and stellar views
Great Course In the City
Wildcat highland course was great! Kept greens, friendly staff and overall very fun course. Seeing NRG stadium and the city of Houston while playing my favorite game was the cherry on top. Strongly recommend!
Fun Fair and good shape but pricey
Love the layout. Hard and easy holes. Very slow play!!! Course is in good shape, greens are slow.
