About
The Highlands Course is probably the more stimulating of the two tracks at Wildcat GC, offering better views of the city, natural wetlands and grasses, and some intriguing flat sand bunkers. Case must have an affinity for the No. 7, because like the Lakes track, the 421-yard, par 4 hole 7 is the most difficult rated hole. Watch out for the par 5s on this one, three of which play at or above 570 yards from the tips.
Getting there : From downtown take Hwy. 288 south for 5 miles to Loop 610. Head west and find the Fannin exit, where you'll U-turn under 610 and drive east on the access road to Almeda Rd. Turn right on Almeda and the course is 3 miles further.

Nice course!
Nice course in good shape! Only thing I did not like was the forced layups on some of the par 5 holes. Other than that liked it alot.
Surprising Saturday
Expected pace of play to be super slow but pleasantly surprised it was perfect. Course is in great shape and had an awesome round.
Excellent
It was slow because it was cart path only. We enjoyed playing with two other players who enjoyed playing together.
Great Course
Greens were in very good condition, no significant bad spots in fairway. Overall, a good course
Bring your own clubs
If you rent clubs, you’ll be paying for the owner’s kids to graduate with a doctorate. Also, as I live in Florida, I have access to over 1200 courses. In Florida, the same course would be no more than an average course as far as the quality of the course, but it would cost no more than $45. I paid $83 here. I doubt seriously that if I ever return to Houston, I will ever play it again unless the cost changes for the better.
Pristine
Tee boxes, Fairways, greens were absolutely in tiptop shape. I’m sure that the recent rain has something to do with it. Nevertheless, it was the best I have seen the course and sometime.
Elevation
Awesome track with all kinds of up and downhill shots. Made for a fun round! Cool views of the Galleria towers and NRG stadium.
This course is a lot of ROD Ryan Fun 🤘🏼🎶⛳️
Had an awesome time at Wild Cat Golf Course came to support the Rod Ryan Charity Golf Charity Open !
It was so much fun! Course was prep, golf’ carts were washed and ready for a great day of golfing for great causes such as Texas Adaptive Aquatics Sports, outdoor adaptive recreation and watersports for the disable veterans, adults and children. Wild Cats were very welcoming, accommodating, friendly and with great service .
Looking forward to returning again soon! ⛳️
Great course
One of the more challenging courses in Houston. A few blind shots, couple par 5s that you can’t use driver on. Lots of elevation changes, which isn’t very common for Houston. Overall great course.
