Arrowood Golf Course

Play was very slow I stopped in the club house at the turn to ask if they had. a marshalll.There was an eight some in front of us on the back nine. I call the club house to ask them to come out and stop this. The club house was closed when we got in

Friendly staff, on time tee offs,!and generally speaking, good course conditions. Cart girl service was excellent, as she made at least three drive by's in 16 holes. My only real complaint is that the pace of play slows down on the last six holes, and #18 in particular. I have experienced this almost every time in a dozen or so rounds over the last six years. Maybe it's not a solvable problem. I always return, though.

Course has nice layout, fairly generous driving area, and good greens.

No Marshal and the group in front of us very slow caused us to be over 5 hours.

Played after a rain storm so it was wet as expected - learned it was cart path only when we checked in! This course is a tough walk and cart paths (which are terrific) are not supportive of cart path only. This was exhausting and really slowed play. Better weather and less walking would have gotten 5 star across the board.

I was in Carlsbad for a quick trip and wanted to find a place to play that seemed reasonable. It absolutely was. 100% worth the price. Could’ve been nice to have a Marshall riding around ensuring the pace of play. But overall I highly recommend. I will be coming back!

Seems like I always put this course in my rotation when I come down for a golf trip and it never seems to disappoint.

The course condition, Staff, and food are always great here.

Super fun, challenging golf course. There were many blind shots and many greens you couldn't see in order to set up your second shot. Even with the guys I played with trying to guide me it was tough to set yourself up for success. Someone made the superintendent angry the day I was there, there were pins in the middle of slopes or right on the edge of a ledge. The bunkers were deep but fair, meaning if you hit a good bunker shot you'd get out, but only if you committed to your shot. Course was in great shape and I can only remember being in a divot once. I was fixing two or three pitch shots every green but that's not the courses fault. I could tell right away why so many people recommended it to me.

The fairways were wet in some places, but it didn't detract much from the round. Our group took some preferred lies. The course layout is interesting and there are some pleasant views. The French Dip sandwich with side salad was very tasty and I recommend eating on the veranda, which overlooks the course. I did not use the driving range, but it looks fully equipped. Despite the 1 hour drive, I will return.

Had a great time. The driving range with track man was a bonus. Challenging but has open fairways, some bunkers are deep. Would definitely play again
