Seaview - The Bay Course

About
The Bay Course is one of two 18-hole courses that the Seaview offers. Designed by famed golf course designer, Donald Ross, it was the first course of the resort and it is also the more famous of the two. Over the years, they made renovations but it was eventually restored to Ross' original links design.
The greens are small and undulating and the Atlantic winds definitely play a huge role in the game. The 2nd hole is the signature hole with a yardage of 432 and a par of 4 that can where the ocean serves as a hazard. Seaview's Bay Course also hosts the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

Great day of golf!
Golfed with my daughter and her boyfriend, their first time at Seaview. The course was in very good shape and we were surprised there weren’t more golfers on a holiday weekend. The staff were very polite and professional!
Home of the LPGA Shop Rite Tournament
Beautiful course worthy of the LPGA Shop rite tournament! Grateful it’s a local course.
Great conditions at a fun course
I played this course a week before the LPGA event so conditions were amazing and fairly difficult. Fast but consistent greens, and high fescue and rough that punishes errant tee shots. Overall a really fun course with great views. Was the 2nd tee time of the day so pace of play was excellent. Course is pricey but so was everything else in the area for Memorial Day weekend. Highly recommend checking it out at least once. I know I’ll be back to try the Pines course at some point.
Coarse wasn't in great condition, with that being sad I do understand they have the shoprite classic coming in a week and a half. And they have things there trying to prepare for. Hope they make it a lot better for the LPGA tour.
Horrible condition
I’ve played this course for 15 years. There were always some difficult spots that had fescue, but only around a few bunkers.
This year the fescue is everywhere. And to make it worse the fescue is loaded with poison Ivy, creeping Charlie, and other weeds you don’t want to touch. So you can’t even look for your ball if you wanted to. Mounds that were cut down in the past, have not been cut at all.
The bunkers haven’t been raked in weeks. The conditions were pathetic. We play the same time every year and I will not be back. I think Marriott has cut back on maintenance to save money.
Also played the Pines the day before and the conditions were horrible there as well. Don’t bother playing these courses.
Over priced
For the price, you’re not getting close to the experience you should. Tee boxes aren’t flat, course doesn’t drain great, fairways and greens are solid. For $200 there are probably 15 courses within 20 miles that are more worth your time. I cannot believe a professional tour plays here in 3 weeks. Place just feels like a total golf mill. Definitely disappointed.
Greens need attention
Outside staff is fantastic and friendly. The course is in good shape overall, however the greens are extremely bumpy and there’s poison ivy in every high grass area off the fairways. For a rack rate charge of 179 a round I’d expect the greens of all things to be rolled and in great shape. Hopefully they’ll get on this before the LPGA comes in next month.
Senior woman
I played with my husband. I personally like the pines better for me. But my husband likes to play the Bay one day and the Pines the next. My local course I shoot around 100. Distance is about the same 5,000 yards. Here I had a lot of 3 putts. Expect to add 10-15 strokes if you don’t read the greens properly.
A little over rated
Staff was super friendly and helpful. I had the first tee time and played with regulars, as a single. Greens were towards the end of repair from being punched, but still rolled OK. Overall condition of the course was not great. There's a lot of very patchy areas around greens. Fairways and tee boxes were average municipal course worthy at best. I'm honestly surprised an LPGA event is held here. Maybe conditions improve a lot by July. However, I definitely cannot justify paying over 160$ to play this course.
very early golf season late March
with 3 groups late march 3-30-2025. breezy and windy 9am ish & about 50 degree. condition and green pretty good for this time of the year. much better then PINE course. Pay $100 per player dynamic pricing.
Par for course
I really enjoyed the course bunkers can be challenging especially the 17th hole whish is pretty much a island hole surrounded by 5 bunkers that are deep. Not to fond of hitting off mats on a par 3 which makes no sense, when I can use a iron on a par 4 tee like normal. The course is well maintained and is cart path only this time of year so be prepared to do some walking. Staff is real friendly and is managed like a top of the line course for average prices which is always good. I rate it a 7.6 out of 10 overall
