Seaview - The Bay Course
About
The Bay Course is one of two 18-hole courses that the Seaview offers. Designed by famed golf course designer, Donald Ross, it was the first course of the resort and it is also the more famous of the two. Over the years, they made renovations but it was eventually restored to Ross' original links design.
The greens are small and undulating and the Atlantic winds definitely play a huge role in the game. The 2nd hole is the signature hole with a yardage of 432 and a par of 4 that can where the ocean serves as a hazard. Seaview's Bay Course also hosts the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

Terrible pace of play
Seaview Bat Course is a great layout but is totally oversold. It appears that events with golfers lacking the skill level to play this course are frequently booked (we played the course twice this week and both times there was a scramble event crawling around the course) we waited on every shot from first tee to 18 green which made the course impossible to enjoy - some tees there were 3 groups all waiting. I love the layout and the staff are great but will never come back.
Shame on Seawiew!
I have played the Bay course dozens of times. It's my favorite in the Atlantic City area. Sadly, they have gotten greedy and overbooked with outings and daily fee play resulting in a 5 1/2 hour round. When we asked a staff member why the extremely slow play he was unapologetic and said it's our peak season... nonsense! The greens hadn't been cut and were a shadow of their normal speed. This is a great golf course, but if they treat their customers like this, our group will have to find a new place to play.
By the Bay
Beautiful is all I can saw that best describes this course
Gorgeous course w a few wuirks
The bay course is fantastic. Great shape. No easy access to driving range (give yourself an extra 30 minutes if you want to hit balls beforehand) and they have to drive your cart over to the first hole. Amazing views and nice challenging course.
classic Donald Ross
The Bay course was virtually empty on a summer Sunday so it played pretty fast. Don't be fooled by the yardage on the scorecard....it plays much tougher as there us plenty of fescue to steal your balls.
Disappointed in SeaView
LPGA Site, disappointed from the practice area, rude bag drop men, “where do you think your going with the cart,” apparently adults can’t drive the golf carts across Route 9 to the Bay Course, 4.5 hour round on a Monday, we played the first six hours fast, then waited on every shot, saw the ranger in the 13th fairway after obviously people calling the Pro Shop, he said we were on time no sorry or we fixed the problem, Management needs some serious customer service training, greens were soft but fast, rest of the course was in rough shape, 30+ days from the last LPGA event doesn’t make sense to charge $160, I expected so much more from SeaView.
Bday getaway
The course was pricey but nice. Staff should warn players of horse fly issues though. We were attacked the whole time. A little bug spray is highly recommended.
Good, but not worth the money
It's a decent layout - above average I'd call it -- but not worth anywhere near what they charge. The conditions were acceptable, but not great like you would expect for the price you pay. Greens and fairways could all use a trim - fuzzy, unusually "sticky," and slow. Greens were surprisingly bumpy, even though they looked smooth to the naked eye. Tough to make any putts of substantial length and a lot of subtle breaks on the shorter ones.
This course seems very gettable if the wind is down - but if it's blowing, can be very challenging. Many of the holes are straight away, so you have to hit the ball well and on the proper line. The tall fescue grasses and mounds are very thick - nearly impossible to get out of. Beware of the flies. Very annoying and they do bite.
Bug bites beware
They sell repellent in pro shop for a reason. Constant green heads flying around. Wear it and they will only annoy you not bite you. Greens and fairways are excellent. Roughs are long. Waited 5 min on every hole to tee. Way too expensive for these conditions.
