Seaview - The Pines Course

The lesser known of the two 18-hole courses at the Seaview is the Pines Course. It originally started as a nine-hole course but another nine-hole course was added later and the two courses were eventually combined to form the Pines Course. The course has a par of 71 and it is 6,731 yards from the back tees.
Seaview's Pine Course doesn't provide scenic views but it does offer a good game. Some even prefer the Pines course because of its quiet location behind the resort's hotel and also because of its more challenging features. The golf course has tight fairways lined with trees, medium-sized greens that are undulating, and strategically placed bunkers.

Could be much better
Arrived and was greeted with attitude. Rushed to the first tee even though we were 40 mins early. Got to the first green and knew we made a mistake. Played again recently 7/23 and the 13 of 18 greens were brown. Get it together Seaview
Very enjoyable round
The course is a nice layout through the trees and has good bunkering. It is not a long course, particularly from the white tees. It requires a little local knowledge or a GPS to avoid hitting through a few doglegs. The fairways were in excellent condition and the course drained well after heavy rain the night before. We were using individual carts and 90 degree rule. The greens were soft, slow and a little bumpy. Some of the greens are showing signs of distress in certain areas.
The pace of play was great! 3:40
Seaview Pines
The greens were exceptionally slow, like they hadn’t been cut in a week. There’s a heat wave coming, so may be they don’t want to lose them in next few days.
Other than the greens, pace today was excellent! Fairways in great shape!
Course Conditions
Course was in excellent shape considering the current Covid staff reductions.Staff was also very friendly and accommodating.
Seaview Country Club Pines course
A great day out. The course was clean and well groomed.
Day Out
Course was in good shape. Greens slow from the heavy rains and the rough could be trimmed. Unforgiving. Some brown spots on greens that they looked to be aerting to repair. Overall good time. Be back at right rate.
Nice Layout - Good Value
The Pines Course is an excellent layout, although quite difficult. Greens rolled decently and pace of play was good.
Only negative is that rough was really thick - too much so. Also the heavy rough comes within a foot of the green. Virtually no fringe or mowed area around green.
