Seaview - The Pines Course
About
The lesser known of the two 18-hole courses at the Seaview is the Pines Course. It originally started as a nine-hole course but another nine-hole course was added later and the two courses were eventually combined to form the Pines Course. The course has a par of 71 and it is 6,731 yards from the back tees.
Seaview's Pine Course doesn't provide scenic views but it does offer a good game. Some even prefer the Pines course because of its quiet location behind the resort's hotel and also because of its more challenging features. The golf course has tight fairways lined with trees, medium-sized greens that are undulating, and strategically placed bunkers.

Excellent
Everything was great. Starter, pro shop staff. Got there about 20 mins before tee time and got us off early since no one was teeing off, even though we were a twilight rate. Course in great shape, greens fast but true.
Flies and Mosquitoes are Horrendous in Mid July, just not worth it.
I almost never write reviews but felt some notice needs to be given to prospective golfers at this course. Regarding the course, it is excellent design, you can see why a LPGA event is held here. Staff is good. They have let the rough grow up too much when there is no tournament, which slows down play considerably for no good reason. But all this is minor stuff. At the end of the day, the horse flies and mosquitoes are horrendous in mid July. It basically ruined the experience for me. I have never been bitten like that in 40 years of playing golf. I dont think there is really any spray that works on the flies. In essence, if there are no flies and mosquitoes, the place is very good, but i would stay away otherwise. I am not sure when horsefly season starts and ends.
Seaview Pines is outstanding
On a hot, humid day the trees (lots) cool the weather. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are very well maintained. The last couple times I played the pace of play was excellent.
Recommend
I was impressed with the Pine course, greens were excellent, bunkers were maintained and clubhouse was clean.
Course maintenance a disgrace
Troop should be embarrassed by the state of the Seaview Pines course. Tee boxes were so badly torn up that I couldn’t get footing on them. Most of the course was over-run by dandelions. First cut rough was so thick that irons couldn’t get through. Bunkers had no sand in them. My playing partner said the course was in better shape when he played shortly after Hurricane Sandy. Ruined a beautiful day of golf. When we complained after the round, we were actually told that they had neglected maintenance in order to make sure the Bay course (which I played last year and loved) was pristine for an upcoming LPGA event. No apology, no refund. I’ve seen neglected municipal courses in better shape. A real shame.
Poor course conditions
I was surprised the conditions was that bad ! Also we are waiting every single hole on tee box .
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear of your recent experience on the Pines Course and would enjoy the opportunity to discuss with you further. If you can reach out to us at Seaview directly our management team would enjoy the opportunity to speak with you. Thank you, The Staff at Seaview.
Seaview
This was a lovely older course with a beautiful layout.
Great shape!
The course was in great shape, especially the fairways and greens. The pace was great too, we played in under four hours. The course is tough, very narrow and lots of bunkers, but I also couldn’t hit the ball straight.
Nice and Challenging Course
My son and I played the Pines course and had a very nice time. The course was in nice condition considering the recent weather. The fairways and greens were in good condition but certain tee boxes need a bit of work. This course will challenge your game and there is not much room for error off your tee shot. The par 3's are difficult, especially holes 15 and 16. A lot of the holes on the Pines course were part of the 1942 PGA Championship which adds a bit of history to your round as well. Overall, a nice course that is worth playing!
Pace of Play great
The starter keep players moving. Greens were in great shape with challenging pin placement. Overall course was in good shape despite being early spring. Layout in general is challenging on any day. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Nice Layout
Nice condition for this time of year. Pace of play was just ok. Caught up to an older group of men that were extremely slow. Not a big deal though as it was a nice day with my son. Staff was extremely friendly. Good overall day.
