Seaview - The Pines Course
About
The lesser known of the two 18-hole courses at the Seaview is the Pines Course. It originally started as a nine-hole course but another nine-hole course was added later and the two courses were eventually combined to form the Pines Course. The course has a par of 71 and it is 6,731 yards from the back tees.
Seaview's Pine Course doesn't provide scenic views but it does offer a good game. Some even prefer the Pines course because of its quiet location behind the resort's hotel and also because of its more challenging features. The golf course has tight fairways lined with trees, medium-sized greens that are undulating, and strategically placed bunkers.

Great Golf
My first time playing this course and had a great time. Very challenging. Would definitely play it again!
Condition has slipped
Have played Seaview since late 70's..... Many changes. First time on Pines in a year. Conditions have declined.
Greens great; tee boxes beat up and fairways spotty at best in areas. Helpful staff; hope conditions improve- great place and layout but many options in the area
South Jersey Gem
I played the tips and even for long hitters you will be using pretty long irons after a good drive to get there in reg. Nice layout. Scoring was as expected at tips. Inner tees should still be tough.
Worth a visit
Nice place. Very professional friendly staff. Course is well laid out with a strategically placed hazards. Greens were in good shape but slow. Prefer the pines course over the bay course
No problem is too big for the golf PRO
Due to the course of play the Pro came out apologized and actually gave us a voucher for the inconvenience. The people were very accommodating
Fall golf is the best (on a warm day, before darkness)
Seaview without the crowds is a simple pleasure. Pine or Bay are always well groomed. The tee boxes were pretty beat up but the greens were pristine. The early leaf issues were well managed. Pretty close to a perfect afternoon in the Pines.
Beautiful course for time of year.
Beautiful but challenging course. Paths could be marked a little better especially when returning your carts. It was our first time there and we ended up driving out carts through a cobblestone courtyard in front of their banquet facility. The staff was very nice and cordial except for the beverage cart woman. She had a terrible disposition. They would make more business if they had someone with a better personality. Definitely play this course again.
Poor conditions
The tee boxes are mostly dirt leaves all over the place hard to find ball. Not worth the money. this ued to be in pristine shape they are just not taking care of it.
Vacation
Great day for golf. Went out on a weekday after the heavy down pour of rain from over weekend. Course was in great condition and the greens were in great shape. The staff was great and this is a great coursed to play
Getaway
Excellent course and highly recommended if in the area
Seaview Pines
The members where real friendly which made me feel right at home
Seaview is challenging
We play Seaview every Fall and it usually never disappoints us with its beauty, challenge, and first class facilities. But this year the rough around the greens and off the fairways was at least 8 inches long. This made it difficult to locate our balls and wasted lots of time. In fact when we left one green we heard some guys on the adjoining fairway yelling about the same thing so it wasn't just us. It was disappointing, but otherwise a nice round.
nice but overpriced
An enjoyable round. Friendly staff and ranger. A few interesting holes but just in average shape. Overpriced on a weekend morning. Would be a good deal at $60
Under-rated course at the shore
Played the Pines course yesterday - the only other time I played this course was about 10 years ago. I had forgotten how good of a layout this is. Overall, it's an excellent course. It doesn't have the stunning views of the Bay course, but a much more interesting layout in my opinion. Most holes are tree-lined, so accuracy is a must. Service was excellent; the starters/cart guys were very helpful. Course conditions have suffered a bit from recent weather (mainly tee boxes) but greens were in excellent condition.
Conditions
The overall layout of the course is decent however the tee box conditions were some of the worst I played. Between the uneven grass growth and sand filled divots, getting a comfortable tee and stance was difficult. The rough grass just left and right of the fairway was way too long and not long in the sense of challanging for ball striking but long in the sense of laziness which made the long par fours even longer for the older gentlemen I was with. The greens were a good speed but there are some irregularities in the breaking. Overall not a bad price but I would spend a little more to have a nicer round
Nice greens
Tee boxes on a few holes bare sand, the starter apologized before the round for this said they resodded them and it didn't take. Found the greens and fairways excellent especially after the dry weather and hot days of summer bare spots and crab grass off the fairways nice place nice pace of play
long tiring game
Waited on every hole and every shot. left after 14 holes
History & Tradition
I can't tell how greatful and admired was with this course and all the history that keeps on every corner! And I got Par in the 16 hole, the same one in where Sam Snead defeated Jim Turnesa to win the 1942 PGA Championship!
Great time
The History and quality is out standing. We played in about 31/2 hours meet some great people. Course was in great condition and greens in great shape. They made us feel welcome and service was great. Lunch was tasty and the service friendly. If you can play here you should ! Try and play after the LPG event on the bay course. The greens will be so fast you think you are putting on Glass.
