The Preserve at Jordan Lake Golf Club

Played the blue tees with a 3-handicapper who hits a 3 wood 270 yards, so tough to keep up. The course continues to be a true test, with second shots to the greens being the hardest. Par 5 holes are magnificent.

The golf course was in very nice shape and is nice and green. The greens were very nice and pretty fast, but really hard to read. There were several putts that went the opposite way from what several of us saw. The staff is friendly, and the practice area is beautiful. The only problem I had was the driving range. They have an upper and lower hitting area, and the tees were on the lower area the day I played, which means they won't let you use anything but irons because the yardage is limited. I'd almost rather you tell me "mats only" rather than no woods since the driver is the club you hit the most, and the last thing you want (if you are someone who likes to warm up) is to get the first tee without having hit a driver at all. The upper area is big enough that you should be able to use it almost exclusively so you don't have to limit the clubs. Hope they change that practice. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the day.

Beautiful course it’s challenging for new golfers!

I really like the track but the greens need some help. I didn’t expect the weed looking things popping up and please put some sand in the bunkers. Otherwise it was a great time.

Course was in great shape. Pace of play was very good. Starter even let us out 15-20 min before tee time. I’ve been playing this course for a couple years and it’s hard to find much to complain about. Always in good shape. Course is a difficult one, bring your A game.

Every hole presents a new challenge. Greens are perfect. Course is very wet from all the rain which makes for a lot of walking up and down hills right now. Hard to beat for the price!

Great course that requires long drives and targeting your second shot usually over 150yards.

I’m 74 so this was a great course for me to step up my game

It’s end of January and was 45 degrees. I don’t expect courses to be lush and green. I like to go out and work on my game and this was sufficient. Played with a buddy and we played in 3 hours. We had the course to ourselves until hole 15 when we played through a foursome and then finished the last few holes without seeing a single golfer. $22 for 18 holes with a cart in three hours on a wet cart path only day in January and 45 degrees....not too much to complain about. The greens were smooth and putted true so would I come back and play again, yeah probably in the next two weeks. Its one of the best values/bang for the buck in the area.

I love every hole. This place is very hard to play well and great place to challenge your self. Highly recommended!

Great layout but a bit beat up! Greens were decent!

I used to be a Ranger at the preserve many years ago. The course doesn’t suit my eyes very well, but there are several holes that I love#2, 7, 8, 13, 15, and 18. I appreciate how well it looks in the winter. Brushes have been cleared. The greens roll smoothly and very fast. Although sloppy wet from the rain, the ball sat up nicely in the fairway. Since they were hardly anyone out there, I played 18 holes in two hours and 40 minutes.

One of the more difficult courses in the Triangle area of NC due to the terrain and greens, it is fun to play. The course offers challenging holes across all pars. Highly recommended, but bring plenty of balls and a sense of humor.

Bring your "A" game, this layout is complex requiring every shot from every club to be "spot on". The greens are lightning quick but true. Several greens with false front dictate hitting high and long. Will return here after I tune up at easier layouts.

Played with 3 other friends and the pace was good and conditions of fairways and greens were excellent. I recommend this course for anyone who is looking for a challenge and knows when to lay up on some shots. You'll love this course.

The preserve course was in excellent shape especially for this time of year. Fairways were great and the greens were as fast as any around. Bunkers were a little wet from the rain the night before but were ok. All in all excellent.

Had a great round. Got paired with a twosome and we enjoyed the round Immensely. Had a lot of challenges for every skill level. I will be back.
