Lovely course
Lovely course with a few challenges especially the hole over the sea
Best hole I have ever played
Friendly Restaurant Staff and good food and drinks served with glasses straight from the fridge.
Some wind but protected mainly by the higher ground and pine forest. Weather sun and cloud and mild.
One hole teeing off over a rocky crag with wonderful clear blue sea below took a good 4 Hybrid to make sure of getting over.
One of the 4 of our group didn't make it and the ball pin balled between the rocks into the sea many feet below.
Would definitely play again and the views are lovely from the course and clubhouse.
Great fun
Good value and the par 3 over the sea is a brute. A lovely golf course.
Views to die for
We were lucky to play Eyemouth on such a beautiful day, can imagine how hard this would be if the wind was blowing even just a tad harder than it was, course was in great condition and the views were amazing. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, a few of the greens were bobbly although this most probably was down to my putting. I would and will be recommending Eyemouth golf club to friends and will definitely be back.
Pace of play painfully slow
4 hours 35 minutes for a round of golf, unacceptable! Also greens in poor condition, especially for a seaside course, hopefully these will improve with the warmer weather.
Can’t wait to comeback
Managed to catch a great winter weather Sunday at Eyemouth. Another east coast links that had been on my list for a while and did not disappoint. A Great greating at the clubhouse by the pro then out onto the course which is a cliff top stunner. Obvious highlights include the 6th, a par3 over a cliff to sea onto an elevated green (very happy to card a par). The course has so many features, such as elevated tees, and greens, burns and gully’s to really challenge club selections. Along with a number of doglegs with the risk/reward factor built in.
A real gem on the east coast just into Bonny scotland.
Beware the 6th !!
Excellent course , part parkland part clifftop, weather clear and sunny (low) and breezy. Feature hole 6th great , enjoyed watching a miss-hit tee shot rebounding off the cliffs! 12th hole not much easier either into the wind and sun. Fairways generous. A good test.
Excellent food and drinks in the clubhouse afterwards. Recommended
A bond muddy field that has no resemblance to a links course
This is without doubt the worst course any of us have ever played. Every hole is so boring bar 1 - the 6th over the cliffs. The ground is muddy and not Sandy at all. We stopped early as it was so dire. I’d rather have put a wasps nest on my face. Would never come back.
Super course BUT CAUTION RE GOLFNOW BOOKING
Partner and I had super 18 holes at Eyemouth for the first time. Really enjoyable layout and the course was in fantastic condition for the end of October.
The bar staff provided a very good post round lunch.
The pro was friendly BUT we were shocked to learn that our booking through a GolfNow Hot Deal (saving £7 each) meant that the golf course received nothing from GolfNow. We were advised to contact any course offering a GolfNow Hot Deal time first and they will price match with the funds going directly to the course.
You have all been warned!!!! Using GolfNow will badly affect the income of courses - we will be going direct to the courses in future to ensure they get the income they deserve.
