Loved this course, if I wasn't visiting on holiday I'd easily return

It's not often after I play a course that I comment so much about it to my wife but I did with Eyemouth.

The scenery and views are amazing and I'd walk it everyday if I could, the course for the time of year was in excellent condition. Lots of run in the fairways even with them holding a bit of water in places. The greens were good and even if the green keepers hadn't been visibly working on the course it would have been obvious that a lot of time goes into it.

The 6th hole has to be seen and such a lovely hole to play, the 13th is the longest I've ever played but thankfully down hill.

If I play it again I won't carry my clubs as the hills on the back 9 took their toll on me but don't let it put you off.

Walked

Gullane 2 or North Berwick Glen at half price or less

A clifftop links with all the accoutrements, including a par-3 that plays over the North Sea. There's a feeling in a couple of places that the original layout was subsequently chopped up a little, but overall Eyemouth delivers the links experience that North Americans (and others, of course) are looking for the price of a humble parklands course.

Costal views, carries over cliffs, longest hole in Scotland

This was one of my favorite courses in Scotland. It didn't blow me away on anything (though hitting the green on #6 WILL give you a thrill) but it is more that I just felt at home and welcome at Eyemouth. I was out late on a Thursday in September and did the track in 3 hrs - it was heaven. I liked it so much I went back and played again at 8am the next day. The dude working the proshop knows his stuff and was awesome both times I dealt with him (I wanna say his name is Tim, but he was great either way)

Gotta give a big shout out to P.J. and Doug - the grounds keepers. You guys made my rounds awesome - both by chatting it up when ever I saw you, by showing me the 'hawk ness monster' (man I wish the wind was at our backs that morning) and for cutting a new hole on the 12th (after I had already made my shot to the green)

I'll be back
