Auchmill Golf Course
About
Offering inspiring views of Aberdeen and Aberdeen Airport, Auchmill Golf Club is a municipal golf course with a world-class pedigree. Originally built in the early 1970s as a nine-hole course and later extended to a full 18, Auchmill was designed by the triumvirate of Brian Hugget, Neil Coles and Roger Dyer, meaning the course was laid out with the experience of a top golf course architect (Dyer), a former Ryder Club player (Coles) and a known British pro (Hugget).
Auchmill was designed to take advantage of its unique topography, meaning golfers will be challenged by a variety of lies andinteresting hole placements. Four par 5s will have long hitters reaching for their big guns, while tricky par 3s and challenging par 4s will have golfers of all levels working to put down a good score.
This wooded parkland course that plays to nearly 6,000 yards will not just give you interesting holes that are aptly and cunningly named - like "The Frog" and "The Quarry" - but it will also give players a great golfing experience for their money. With green fees ranging from £15 to £20, Auchmill Golf Club offers golfers a great golfing experience without denting their wallet.

Just off the 4th tee “very nice” NOT Photo submitted by Steve5755845 on 08/09/2020
Interesting course
This course has some amazing holes but it isn’t looked after. Lots of rubbish around intakes bunkers.
The greens are bumpy and patchy. Such a shame as it could be better
Needs some love
The course itself has the potential to be a good course although it needs some TLC. Lots rubbish in the rough in the 3rd hole. Empty bottles lying around and the number of dog walkers on the course is off putting.
Some challenging holes although also hard to decipher where the next hole is.
Good value on a decent course
It was a great day for a game of golf, so was looking forward to playing the course. Course was in good condition and was well looked after. Just a pity the greens were spiked and sanded. Otherwise a enjoyable day out.
Good course, greens under repair
Good course, have enjoyed the few rounds I have played in Auchmill. Very challenging course and a few great Par 5’s to get after. Greens under repair at the moment so would have liked to have seen a discount on the fees. But overall course was tidy, fairways nice and tight.
Enjoyed the early morning round
Only had time to play the front 9 but nice course with some tricky holes. Would definitely play again
Big improvement
Played a few times here and will be joining next year now
Greens had suffered a bit last time I played but that has been sorted to a real good standard, course is well kept and staff very friendly
Really good value for money here to pay and play
Im the membership was cheaper to join in July I'd be joining now
Rough is very rough. Bit of tidying would be a good track. Forgiving I lived there 35 years ago and only 9 holes back then'things have changed and so has managing the course Onwards and Upwards.
Surprisingly Good Layout
This was my first visit to this course which isn't far from home. I prepaid my round which was just as well as the clubhouse and starter hut were closed. I had to fish a used card from the bin as the new ones were locked away in the starter hut.
I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of holes and the course was generally in good condition.
I lost a few balls as the trees and rough is quite punishing for wayward shots.
Auchmill
Good course but maintenance isvsafly lacking, bunkers in poor condition
TLC
Nice but Could be much better with a little TLC. Tees require a little work. Some very good holes.
Good lay out. Would play again
