Good round
Members very welcoming. Winter layout a little confusing .. No one in pro shop the day we played , lady in office very helpful.
Very good greens
I enjoyed my round very much. The greens were excellent, very true and surprisingly fast for the time of year.
1st 9 easier than the 2nd 9 with relatively wide fairways but a good test of golf.
Will certainly play again.
Great course, great condition and extremely playable
First time out at Aboyne GC and thoroughly enjoyed the course, conditions and set up there. Course played extremely well and greens especially were excellent.
Already booked again for later this month and looking forward to getting back there!
Visit 9 Sept
Lovely course pleasant front nine with very tough back nine.
No wind fabulous surroundings highly recommended.
Great Golf Course
First time playing and not disappointed- course was in excellent condition and a great test of golf for the average golfer. Will definitely return
Aboyne RDGW
Played Aboyne as the 1st course for the RDGW open week at Deeside .
I thought the course was in excellent condition and a good test of golf. I look forward to playing it again on my next visit to Deeside.
Great
Fabulous course and people you must come and play here you will not be disappointed at all. Lovely layout very good course. Will definitely play here again
Very friendly and welcoming staff, greens in decent condition for the time of year, overall condition of the course excellent. Course layout good, particularly the back nine, great views of this stunning are. Well worth a game.

Course in good condition considering the beating it has taken with the snow and ice. Well done Green Staff
Very enjoyable round.
Even in winter course layout, we enjoyed a great round at Aboyne. It certainly will mean a return to play full course is needed this season.
Weather was perfect
Due to current restrictions, we were unable to use any off course facilities and didn't have any interaction with staff.
Winter greens
Course conditions were very good apart from it being played on all winter greens. We would not have booked at this time had we known this. The “normal” price at Aboyne for winter green play is £20, so not much of a saving for golf now price !
Due to COVID, clubhouse and facilities were not open, nor did we see any staff, hence score not applicable to these.
Winter greens
Course was in lovely condition, however it was still on winter greens. We would not have booked if we had known this as the normal price for their winter greens course was only £20. So we did not save very much !
Also, due to COVID clubhouse was not open, and no staff seen so cannot comment on these facilities.
Enjoyable Experience
Overall after a wild weekend of bad weather the course was wet in places but groundkeepers very busy trying to tidy up from this. I was contacted by the club to make me aware of this when I booked my tee time and this was helpful. They also informed me of the Covid guidelines, whether the clubhouse was open and the general conditions of the course. Met in with some of the members (greenkeepers father and friend) and had a friendly chat with them which made me feel very welcome. Def will return to see the course in all its glory in better weather. A course of two halves :-) recommend a visit it you are in the area
Beautiful course. Deadly back nine.
Fantastic course, with a wide variety of challenging holes. Very well maintained course. Everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming.
Highly recommended.

Thanks for your rating and kind comments. We look forward to seeing you again.

Brilliant course
We were warmly welcomed by the club president no less and given some tips to navigate our way round the course. A fantastic mix of 2 contrasting halves. A parkland front 9 of manicured pleasure followed by an amazing back 9 through some challenging and quirky holes. We loved having to think our way round the second half which made for a great and thoroughly enjoyable round. Highly recommended.

Delighted to welcome you to our club. Glad you enjoyed it. Haste YE Back

Aboyne golf course review
The golf course was fantastic to play. If lived nearer i would probably base myself there. The fellow who greeted me was very friendly and talkative. No criticism on the course condition. Afterwards went and got food. I know the menu probably limited at the moment. The food was ok.
Seperately i booked though the golf now app for to play on sat the 5th by mistake. I cancelled within minutes when realised. I was still chargwd for it. I did call the golf now they said i was given a refund. Hopefully that issue i have can be resolved.
Its a easy ten out of ten to play Aboyne Golf Course.
Thank you for your kind comments. Delighted you enjoyed your visit.
