Ballindalloch Castle Golf Course

Love the course layout. Usually 9 hole courses that offer 18 holes are just a repeat with slight yardage changes, this one (on the whole) gives you a different challenge on the back 9 with the course design/bunker layout.

T boxes were a bit hairy and there was quite a lot of grass cuttings left on some of the fairways, but for the price - great value.

Well worth giving it a go.

Superb 9 hole course, plays more like 9 of an 18 with long interesting holes. Tees a bit odd as grass was as long as fairways, but fairways and greens excellent.

Pre and post game ancillaries very disappointing but wouldn’t put me off playing again; score card didn’t include a course layout map - which is really needed for first time players, especially on the 4th; only 18 hole green fee available which I’ve never come across on a 9-hole courses before; no refreshments or snacks available on site, or any golfing accessories; balls, tears, glove, etc and only 2 trolleys available.

As it’s a 9 hole we wanted to get lunch after the first 9 but the castle tea room wanted £15 pp just to get in - and that after we’d paid £100’s for our green fees. We went to Aberlour instead - highly recommend the Gather’n Cafe.

Lovely 9 hole golf course excellent condition with amazing surroundings

Really nice course. The rough is plentiful and you can easily be lost. The fairways were large and well mown and the greens well maintained. The weather was fantastic when we played and the whole course looked it great shape. A very enjoyable round.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 4. Ball round. The rough is tough but the fairways and greens are in excellent condition. There are some challenges to be had . The setting and location is breathtaking taking and for us the weather was sublime. Would love to come back another day. Thank you.

First time playing this course and found the staff to be friendly and the course well laid out. Bit steep in places which helped add to the challenge of the course. Went on a very hot day but still managed to get shade and a breeze to help cool down. Owner drove round to see how we were enjoying the course at that point it was challenging however did get a lot better the once we new the layout a bit better. Very good course well done to the owners.

The course had very nice fearways ang good greens.

Immaculate course conditions, best condition fairways I've seen considering there's been very little rain recently. The 4th hole is one of the most interesting I have seen!

Had a lovely day out at Ballindalloch golf course, the weather was perfect and the course is very well manicured, its a lovely walk and the course is not steep. The clubhouse is small but very nice and the gentleman on duty was very friendly and welcoming. We had coffee and biscuits before starting the the 2nd nine holes, we have played it a few times and will certainly be back.

A lovely but tricky 9 hole course, the tees were totally different the second half making it more like 18 hole course I would recommend this course

Great course but not if you aren't a long hitter. Most holes 360 yards plus. The two tee aspect per hole is a good idea as somebody of the different tees make the outlook very different. The clubhouse is nice inside but lack of food even something basic like bacon rolls is poor. Specially when there isn't anywhere else nearby to get a bite before the round.

A brilliant course,fantastic weather and a good test of golf.the course was in excellent condition and the greens were brilliant.cant speak highly enough of the course.will definitely be playing there again.

Very early in the season and course still a little damp but a lovely layout and a challenging course.a great day out and staff were lovely.we will be back again.give it a try as you wont be dissappointed.

This is a must play course. It was in superb condition. Although only 9 greens the 18 tees mean that as you go around again you get a different outlook. Staff were very welcoming & friendly. I will definately be back.
