Forres Golf Club

About
Designed by Open Championship winners James Braid and Willie Park, this par-70 golf course measures just under 6,300 yards from the tips. Forres Golf Club may not be a very long play by today's standards, but it is nevertheless a challenging round of golf.
Renowned for its views over the Findhorn Bay and the Noray Firth, the golf course is a wonderfully maintained, visually stunning layout. Forres is full of memorable holes, none more so than No. 16. Called the "Pond," this hole punishes errant tee shots with a watery grave.
Forres Golf Club has hosted the Scottish Professional Championship, the Northern Open and the Scottish Young Professionals Championships.
A clubhouse with a bar and restaurant is on site. There's also a stocked pro shop.

A great course not to be missed
A really interesting well laid out course. Not long but every hole is different and they all have fair challenges. Decent tee shots set up good birdie chances but wayward ones, whilst you tend to find your ball, cost a couple of shots . The fairways and greens are in great condition. The pro shop team couldn't be more friendly or accommodating and the members we came across were just the same. Forres is completely non pretentious fantastic value and an absolute pleasure to play. If you are in the area do yourself a favour book a tee and play. Highly recommended.
Worth Playing
Great variety of holes, a little quirky at the start however some fantastic holes, the 15th is a brilliant challenging hole, which would test the best of golfers. Looking forward to playing it again.
Great course to play a round of golf
Really enjoyable game of golf at Forres. A nice challenge for all standard of players. A real pleasure only slight criticism is the sand in the bunkers
Thanks to all the staff that obviously works hard and with passion to make the course what it is.

Immaculate course
Would recommend giving this course a go, beautiful scenery and the course and greens are immaculate
Fantastic greens
Well done to the greens keeper. Greens are in beautiful condition; smooth and true. Forres is a great course, well worth a visit . Neil
Secluded gently undulating golf course
Due to severe winter fairways very bare with little growth evident . Greens recently treated and consequently not running true.
Course is a little predictable with a lot of up and down parallel holes of virtually identical length. The 16th the only real stand out hole. Reasonable value for money.
We found this course very enjoyable fir a high handicapper it was very good some hard holes and some easier a very nice well looked after course just wish my golf was as good
Interesting course
The course was in great condition and the layout really interesting with some great views.
The course does not over book tee times and therefore the pace was great - two of us round in just over three hours.
Would love to play again
Stunning Course
Will definitely be coming back and showing it to others
Winter
Disappointed that the full 18 holes were on winter greens . The course layout is very good
