Moray Golf Club - The New Course

About
Sir Henry Cotton extended this into an 18-hole golf course in 1979. Playing to a par 70, Moray Golf Club's New Course measures 6,068 yards, making it considerably shorter than the Old Course. The course may not be long, but it's a tough round of golf nevertheless. It's got tighter fairways and smaller greens than its big brother, so you'll have to be accurate to keep your scorecard in check here.
The facility includes a clubhouse, which hasn't changed much in the last 75 years, with changing rooms. Visitors are welcome.

Excellent New Course. Very Helpful staff.
First timers. Challenging course for our pre-teen.
Got as much respect from older folk during his tee time and was allowed to work at his own pace. Staff very helpful to get him started as his first 18-hole as well. Kiddo was very happy and grateful in the end. A rare feat!
All Hail Moray! We’ll be back.
Enjoyable round of golf
Very nice condition for end of March. Course is fairly straightforward with nice mix of holes, including a tricky short hole of 100 yards with burn in front. Basically a good fun course.
Always a pleasure
As always a great day, great track to play, no jets today though
Blowing a gale
The staff and the course conditions were excellent. Unfortunately with the course being on the coast and in Scotland the wind was gusting over 35mph lessening to a steady 25, mixed with freezing cold rain interlaced with hail, didn't make playing golf very enjoyable but weather apart. It's a beautiful part of Scotland and would love to play here in the summer..
Really enjoyed playing this course. Good challenge.
Had an enjoyable round of golf. Lovely condition and a nice challenge. Conditions..weather/ wind etc changes how the course plays.
Moray New Course
Windy conditions, course layout bit confusing but enjoyed, greens excellent.
Very slow play
People need to remember it’s etiquette to wave a single player through, play was so slow I ended up walking past a couple who had brought their dog for a walk too.
It didn’t help that they played zigzag golf either!!!!!
Course was nice, very narrow and challenging.
New Moray Golf Course
Absolutely fabulous course great condition and great value for money!
Can be very tricky if you go off the fairways. Greens where superb 👌.
Great course in really good condition due the open being played the day before, played for £20 and I can’t believe the old course is six times better. Don’t not play it because of the old course
New course
The greens were superb and responsive. Considering it was under snow for almost 1 week the overall condition was good. Fairways have improved and have been protected by playing off mats.
Poor relation
The New course feels like a poor relation to the Old I played both courses 5 years ago and they were both in good condition. The New course has deteriorated significantly. Some fairways were GUR and that is fine but the others were in dreadful condition also. The greens were terribly slow. It just seems like this course has been neglected in favour of its older brother.
Moray New course
The fairways were in dreadful condition if we had known we would not have played the course.
Spey bay is nearby and is a much better choice.
Excellent links course
Hard to imagine it's sister course (The Old) at nearly four times the price would deliver 4 times more enjoyment. Fabulous greens, friendly staff and good food. Recommended
