Excellent course
Fantastic layout. Challenging but fair test of golf. Staff couldn’t be friendlier. Really enjoyable save for two fourballs in buggies ahead took 40 mins to do last 2 holes. However, don’t let this put you off as the course is well worth the visit.
What a lovely course throughly enjoyed the experience from the lady in the shop to the guys I was going round with. The greens were fast, the fairways were in great condition. Love the contrast between the links and parkland and heathland. would highly recommend
Highland Gem
I had heard good things about this course and boy was it good. I loved it!! Beautiful setting on the links, great mix of holes, and in great condition. The staff and members were very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back.
Location
Fantastic location, beautiful scenery, great variety of challenging holes, tricky high quality greens, course in very good condition.
Cracking little course
Great course, 1st 7 holes are links and develops into Heathland with lots of gorse and Heather. The yellow and purple frame the holes nicely and look great. Couple of drivable par 4's and reachable par 5's but trouble if you stray off line. Longer par 4's are a bit more open so it's a decent and fair test of golf. Greens roll true and are a fair pace, although some are very undulating and can be tricky if you're in the wrong spot. Good value on a hot deal, normal price is a little steep but comparative to other courses in the area.
Wonderful course and people
Fabulous day, staff very friendly and informative. Course was in great condition for the time of year.
Golspie Golf Course
Course was in great condition. Interesting and enjoyable. Staff member was very helpful and friendly.
Overlooked gem of a golf course
I thoroughly enjoyed my round at Golspie with 2 of my golf mates. It is well worth the 1 hour drive from Inverness. As I remembered, the course was expertly maintained and the wind made it a challenge for us.
It is a real shame that this course is not busier. Possibly overlooked by golfers playing Dornoch and Brora.
I thoroughly recommend any golfer to venture to Golspie. It provides many different challenges. It starts off as a links course then has some heathland type holes followed by parkland holes. The last couple of holes are then more links type holes.
Late November
And it was in immaculate condition. The course had not long opened when I arrived due to a hard frost. The winter sunshine shifted that aside from holes 9-11 which run through the woods. I was invited to play holes 1-3 again if I desired as recompense. The course is a blend of links and heathland with many interesting holes. I love it
Part links, part forest, part field
Golspie is definitely worth adding to any Highlands golf trip. It's fun and adventurous with three completely distinct looks. It's got links holes, forest holes and holes sitting in a field that lack all definition. The run along the shore starting from the third hole is truly special. There's a whole bunch of great holes, including an incredible drivable short par 4, a tricky par 5 and a par 3 that turns inland to the forest. Bad weather forced me to miss a few holes so I'd love to come back to see what I can shoot on such a unique golf course.
Amazing
This is my new favourite course anywhere! Cannot find one flaw. Really is a special place.amazing!!
Stunning course
Currently on a trip of the highlands, playind Golspie, Tain and Brora so far.
Golspie is a stunner with a mix of links and heathland where no two holes are similar, some stunning greens and amazing views.
When we checked in at pro shop we said we were 1.5hrs earlier and asked to go out early but was told no, checking our phones we could see there were 3 tee off times available between us arriving and our tee off. Yesterday at Brora it was different when we arrived they asked if we wanted out early told us to go have a warm up and get out on the course. Thats what I expect from a club
We waited and my friend had a bite to eat and claims its the worst lasagna he has eaten. My can of diet irn bru was perfect though.
Changing facilities is currently getting an upgrade so its a building site just now but cant fault for this as they are investing money and improving their club.
Overall stunning course just let down by the off course experience
Golspie is great!
Great course with 4 holes changing from links to heathland around the turn and very good holes. Me and me wife paid £31 each and it is worth every penny we will definitely be back. Not overly long but the wind makes it tougher.
Hidden gem
1st time there really great track Golspie brora dornoch what more can you ask for
Great Golspie
An underrated course which you should play if you are in the area. Great hole variety and layout
Great course - loads of iinterest and lovely condition
A really interesting, fun and challenging course, presented in excellent condition. Greens even better than its famous neighbour Royal Dornoch.
Good vfm with golfNow. No drving range there anymore and the bar shut at 1600 on a weekday, but plenty of pla es in the village for a celebratory pint
