The Links at Hiawatha Landing
About
The Links at Hiawatha Landing sits along the banks of the Susquehanna River, nestled between the Finger Lakes and the Catskill Mountains. It's one of New York's premier upscale public golf courses. Despite the name, the course has more of a heathland layout than a true links course since it lacks the seaside location that is the cornerstone of traditional Scottish links golf courses. The design still has many links features though including windswept sand bunkers. The rolling terrain provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic and the tall grasses make accuracy a necessity. Water comes into play on seven holes but there aren't any forced carries or blind shots, making the golf course approachable for even high handicappers. The Links at Hiawatha Landing finishes with a challenging par 5 that doglegs left around a large pond.

Hidden beauty
I played through a thunderstorm so there were delays, but the course itself was lovely. Built on a stretch of low rolling hills with few trees in play, the layout rewards considered shots. You don’t need your driver every time but you do need to play smart. I’d love to play again if I’m in the area. Many holes are bordered by tall fescue stretches that give it a “Scottish” feel. A number of ponds line other holes but you don’t play over water. Greens are in great shape and again, clever without being punishing. Great fun.

Due to rain from previous weekend front 9 was still a little wet however back conditions much better and fairways where supreme for this early in the season
The Links
I have played the Links a number of times. It is challenging and fun. You have to stay in the fairway and chip out of the heather. So place your shots.
Not as nice as it once was
Visiting the area for first time in many years. I was very excited to play the links. I was disappointed that the course has seemed to see better days
Very nice
I played this course a very long time ago and decided to play it again. The course is very nice with quick greens with a lot of breaks that you can't see. If you get a chance to play here, do it. You will not be disappointed. We drove 4 hrs to play here.
A pleasure the second time around.
This was our second visit this summer to Hiawatha, we were paired up with another couple, we had a great round, the course was in very good condition for late August, especially with the heat and lack of rain in the area this summer. We willing be back.
Beautiful
New to the area and extremely surprised and impressed with this course. The layout, conditions and price was unbeatable. Truly beautiful piece of property. Greens were fast and truly and flawless. Staff in the pro was very friendly. Will definitely return.
Flat / walkable / Fair
Enjoyable walk, very good condition, sand a little dirty with pebbles and driving range grass (weedy) not representative of much better fairway/ rough grasses on course. Good value with Hot Deals!
Course is nice and in good shape
I’m a local near The Links At Hiawatha so i have played here many many times. Course is well maintained, greens are very nice along with the fairways. Very much one of the nicest courses in our area. Plan to play there i’m sure many more times.
Course is in great shape!
I've played this course periodically over the last 25 years and it is quite possibly in the best condition I've ever seen it! The fairways are lush and the greens are in tremendous shape. This is a fun course with a variety of challenging holes. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.
Great value, hidden gem
Really well maintained and challenging links style course. Great value to ride for under $40!
