Course is flat
The course was ridiculously wet and muddy. Feet were soaked from sinking into water constantly even on fairways. It was basically flooded. There were piles of sand on one fairway from river flooding I assume. The grass was long because I assume it was too wet to put mowers out there. We walked course as it was cart path only. We were all muddy and wet. Would not recommend playing until July-August. Course is pretty flat, decent course layout.
Early spring in Tumwater
Enjoyed it spectacular afternoon at Tumwater Valley golf course. Tumwater is damp during the winter but I was pleasantly surprised by the conditions. Roll was minimal, but no buried balls. Barely got 18 in before dark, but it was a great day and a great value, thanks to GolfNow
Not a bad track
Went on a rainy day and pretty much had the course to ourselves, we walked the course and despite the rain increasing the course stayed in pretty good shape, minimal puddles in the fairway and the greens rolled consistently throughout the round. I think only two holes had standing water on the greens but did not effect our putts. Winter golf is what it is so I went there not expecting us open conditions but was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely play again and would love to walk it in the summer time
Bring a kayak
Tumwater Valley is a great course June - September and into October. Super wet and saturated fairways / rough. Greens impressively were quick. Would not recommend golfing in the rainy season.
Very bumpy greens
Fun course, still soggy in the fairway. They’d just punched the greens, so putting sucked. Will come back when things dry out more.
Spring time golf
Very very wet, but in all fairness we’ve had a lot of rain.
Green still played fast. Even as wet as the fairways are still had a fun day.
Finally broke 100 at Tumwater
Great day out with the boys. 4th or 5th time playing here....always fun...muddy in places and the second tee box was a mud pit. Great day regardless.
Terrible greens
The course was a bit soggy, grass clippings clumped and all over the place. Greens were very bumpy and bit sandy, frankly worst greens I’ve ever played. Also, I found out that out that our GolfNow “hot deal” was more expensive than the going rate st the course by quite a bit actually. Our total cost for 2 at GolfNow was over $72. If I would have booked at the course directly it would have cost $25 per person and come with a complimentary sleeve of balls. Will have to double check to confirm that “hot deal” is actually what it pretends to be.
Disappointed
Greens recently sanded - no notification
Would have appreciated being told so we could have waited for at least Another week
Great Value for the Money
Course was dry and in great shape. The greens are well taken care of and the fairways and most of the teeing surfaces were in good playing shape. The pace of play in the afternoon, at least, was good and the practice areas are well kept, too. Fun course to play this time of year.
Fun track!
nice course good condition. Odd thing is a par 3 on each 9 has 2 different holes. Played one long one and one short one.
