Cupar Golf Club

Enjoyed this hillside course. Course was dry but in good condition with the greens particularly good. Excellent value and the two members we met were very friendly and helpful.

Cupar Golf Club is a hidden gem and an absolute must-play. The layout is brilliantly designed with demanding fairways that reward careful shot planning and precision — this is a course that genuinely challenges you to think. The course is kept in pristine condition throughout. What really sets Cupar apart though is the people — the members and staff are incredibly welcoming, and there's a genuine community spirit here that you don't always find at bigger clubs. Whether you're a local regular or a visitor passing through Fife, this place will leave a lasting impression. Highly recommended!

The course was in great condition and the greens staff were very friendly and had prepared the course very well.

I a fit 60 year old and keen 13 hop golfer but the course is built on a steep hillside with 6 of 9 holes with almost 45 degree side to side slope so almost every shot above or below your feet.

It is quite a slog up some of the slopes ( we played on a lovely sunny summer day)

We don’t continue for the second round of 9.

Lovely quaint clubhouse with stylish wooden veranda and amazing views.

I’m pretty new to golf (15 handicap) and have played courses with fast greens that were bobbly or uneven, but these greens run pure at a good speed. As for everything else, it’s a short 9-hole course that favours people that struggle to hit woods and long irons as the longest hole is less than 400yds. Some pretty tight greens and tricky blind shots make it a fun challenge. Lovely course.

Excellent 9 holes, played around it twice for 18. 2 of us played and found it quite challenging even for the experienced golfer which was good. I’m an intermediate and my partner an advanced player. Very well kept and great views over the countryside. Lovely clubhouse with good facilities to make a coffee / tea when not manned. Honesty box for snacks. Very helpful green keeper who got us visitor cards as there were none in the wallet.

6th hole was a good par 3. It’s pretty hilly and short. Not expensive to play and some good views at the top of the hill.

Great little 9 hole course. On the side of a hill so alot of uphill walking and big sloping fairways. Very forgiving rough and a great course to play for a beginner like myself.

If booking 18 then the second 9 can be changes by playing off different tees.

Had no expectations or preconceptions. Thoroughly enjoyed it - hilly and a great workout with gorgeous views from the top. Great condition and imho criminally overlooked.

Nice course very well maintained, we hadn't realised that it was on the side of a very steep hill, ball control so difficult even first cut wouldn't hold ball. it just rolled to bottom of fairways kept going. Having said that I still enjoyed playing there.

Tough little 9-hole course situated on the side of a hill. Greens are far from easy as well. It was in very good condition though.

Tricky conditions due to the lack of growth on the course. The hot weather has dried the course out and made everything very hard, which with the sloping course makes it extremely difficult.

Despite this it was a good afternoon, and even with a club competition ongoing play was at a decent pace & the weather was good.

Everyone was very welcoming and chatty and with the lovely smells coming from the kitchen wish I had time to stay for food.

Fairly straightforward and short course. Not too challenging. Very pleasant course and overall in good condition Unfortunately greens were Not on good condition . No pro shop. Bar wasn't open. Good for beginners and juniors.

Our first time to visit this course. The course is a nine hole, a good challenge as half of the course is on steep slopes. The overall condition was very good especially the greens! My only criticism is the parking is down the hill a couple hundred metres on the road. The regulars were friendly and helpful. The scorecard could do with a small map to help future visitors?? Overall we enjoyed our day. Thank you.
