Great little course and easy walk if you like a course where you don’t need driver

A nice course that is fairly open with not too much rough to catch the errant shot. I played off the back tees which probably made it a tad longer and harder.

We used to play Scoonie when we were young during the summer holidays and have always enjoyed it. Our 4-ball went round in under 3.5 hours and we course was in decent condition.

I’ll never get bored of playing there.

Played this course on a few occasions now, very friendly staff, good course condition, for a council ran course. Great value for money.

Thai is the first time I’ve plays at Scoonie and It won’t be the last, great value for money and an enjoyable wee golf course which is the wee sister to the more expensive new next door

I’ve played Scoonie before and it is a good course. I had a buddy visiting so needed to book somewhere and many courses were already fully booked. I booked Scoonie as it was a good deal, but what wasn’t explained at the time of booking was that the course was playing off winter tees (tee markers further down the fairway and usually with very little to no grass) and winter greens. These were literally a hole in the fairway. The combination of these two meant that the course was significantly shorter (close to 100 yards per hole on average). The second problem was that the ‘winter greens’ were impossible to putt on (by the third we agreed to play gimmies after my buddy had to putt over 2 divots, caused by people previously chipping onto the ‘summer green’).

Course was well laid out a lot of forgiven fairways with couple of nice par 3 holes, will definitely be back

This course is an absolute cracker. Played it end of November with no mats and big greens, had some temp tees but did not detract from the experience. Fairways in great condition fur time of year, greens were still quick despite being cored recently. If I had a choice between here and the next door neighbour Leven Links I would quite happily play this first. I will be back in summer

Course un better condition than before, not too long, reachable par 4, you can keep your level at a very modest price.

quite easy sometimes, but the greens incredibly fast, so difficult to stay on.

generally the pace of play very good, but remember that is a matter of luck

Certainly not as good as its neighbours, Lyndon or Leven Links but golfnow offered good value for money for a quick midweek round and some excercise👍
