Scoonie Golf Club

About
Given its seaside location overlooking picturesque farmland to the north and the Forth Estuary to the south, golfers would expect Scoonie Golf Club to be a traditional links layout but it is actually a parkland course. The stunning views of the surrounding countryside contrast nicely with the views of the sea. Long hitters might be disappointed since the golf course is quite short at 5,494 yards with the longest hole only reaching to 430 yards. It is a tight layout that is tough but fair. Accuracy is a necessity since players can find themselves facing a handful of problems from going even just a little wide. The club proudly boasts well manicured fairways and greens that are maintained to the highest standard. It is because of the excellent conditions that Scoonie Golf Club has garnered quite a following.

Scoony for keep practicing
quite easy sometimes, but the greens incredibly fast, so difficult to stay on.
generally the pace of play very good, but remember that is a matter of luck
A quick afternoon knock
Certainly not as good as its neighbours, Lyndon or Leven Links but golfnow offered good value for money for a quick midweek round and some excercise👍
Excellent course for being a Council course Really excellent condition for the dry weather we have had !
Great value for money and a great course and also challenging
Excellent Course and worth a visit
Played the course today as a two ball with my son. Initial reception and with course starter was very personable. The weather was perfect and the course was in excellent condition with greens running fast and true. There was a slow pair in front and a two-ball playing a tie behind us which resolved itself half way through the round with good golfing etiquette being observed and the faster players being facilitated to play through.
We had a juice in the bar after but didn’t order food on this occasion but have done previously and found it to be excellent and well priced fayre.
I would recommend the course to anyone who is in the area and has the opportunity to play it
Lovely course
Great variety of holes
Quite a bit of rubbish on course & not many bins
Wouldn’t stop us returning
Very friendly club house
Great views
Par 3 ‘s very interesting
Lovely wee course with super friendly staff
My wife and I enjoyed playing this brilliant course. The hot weather had made this a true links course with the ball running a mile and the greens were very fast and true.
Friendly staff and also other golfers very pleasant and helpful.
The was a comfortable pace and only 2 1/2 hours ! Great value using GN
One thing is that each tee had so many used tees that finding your tee was tricky - perhaps give everyone a bag to collect these in would be a help.
In any case was a great day and we will be back.
1st time
Played 10/7/25 1st time with a family member up on holiday throughly enjoyed the day course was in really good condition definitely recommend to any1 to give it a go would definitely play again
One problem
The only problem was with the Bunkers not all the same Some had sand in and some did not and u were into clay shame overall a good course Enjoy the round.

Nice wee course
A nice little course and not overly testing for experienced golfers. Greens are always very good.
Excellent, well maintained course. Friendly and helpful starter.
From the I arrived at the course, I was greeted by a friendly, courteous & very helpful member of staff. Course information & clubhouse facilities explained, even allowed to tee off earlier than arranged time.
I really enjoyed my round & will definitely return.
