Pitreavie Golf Club

About
Pitreavie Golf Club has an 18-hole, parkland layout with some elements of traditional links golf mixed in. Dr. Allistair MacKenzie designed Pitreavie. In his design, he incorporated features from his favorite course, the famous Old Course at St Andrews. Rather than flattening any undulation in the landscape, MacKenzie artificially enhanced the gentle slopes but still blended them seamlessly with the natural terrain. The golf course offers panoramic views of Forth Valley for golfers to enjoy during their round. Pitreavie Golf Club provides a formidable test but it is not beyond the means of a high handicapper.

Never again
Quite a rude starter/ pro, that stuck in my head and made the experience as a whole, unwelcoming. 1 redeeming quality was that the greens were fantastic
Pitreavie
Great course with a good mixture of golf holes with a flowing layout. Greens were in top condition.
Another annual visit
Great course, staff really helpful and friendly.
Course never fails to disappoint. Fairways and greens in great condition.
Highly recommend and already planning next year's visit
Definitely be going back .
Really liked the course with stunning views. The greens were unfortunately a little bobbly but I’m pretty sure that’s down to the poor weather over the winter as the rest of the course was in fantastic condition. Would 100% recommend going here for a round.
Excellent Course
Excellent course with a lot of interesting holes. Ok to play for any levels except one hole that has a bit of a carry from tee to fairway.
Course was in excellent condition.
Would throughly recommend!
Pitrevie golf
Overall enjoyed the course but a bit on the hilly side nice club house very helpful staff
Well worth a trip out of Edinburgh
Friendly staff, nice layout and good condition. Got round very quick with the older members letting me thru no problem which is a rare thing at a lot of courses!
Nice course.
The holes cross each other a few times and gets a little confusing as to where next. But still worth playing
Fabulous as always
Friendly staff, course is always in great condition. Highly recommended
Excellent golf course
Decided to play Pitreavie for a change of view and very glad we did, the course was in excellent condition and quite quiet which is always a bonus. The Pro in the shop was very welcoming and gave us a quick rundown of the layout.
It starts off with 2 par 5s which I think is quite unique. It was my first time playing here so happy to break 80... but think that has more to do with how open and wide the fairways are!
Interesting parkland
We played in mid November so off winter tees. The course was in great condition especially greens for time of year.
Quite hilly - personally I like but not to everyone's taste and would be hardwork without an electric trolley for those older.
At the time of our visit the club was undergoing major renovation so did not go inside.
