Lochgelly Golf Club
About
Lochgelly Golf Club is a relatively flat parkland course with views over the Meadows, the Lomonds and the Ochills. The views are worth the price of a round alone. It is located in Fife, Scotland, the heart of golfing country. Visitors have described it as a must-play course when in the area.
The golf course kicks off with a par 5 but only 479 yards. It's the only par 5 on the course and the longest hole at Lochgelly. The course is 5,454 yards, and par is 68.
No. 3 is a par 3, but certainly not a gimme at 222 yards. There are five par 3s on the Lochgelly Golf Club course, spread out liberally, with three on the front nine and two in the back. The back nine ends with a 319-yard par 4.
Lochgelly Golf Club has a pro shop, which is well-stocked by the resident PGA Professional.

Another good course in Fife
A bit of a Fife 'Hidden Gem' this course where you are assured of a first class welcome from the starter and groundstaff.
A hilly course with some good challenging holes, Unfortunately for us we played when the wind was howling however this didn't detract from our enjoyment of the course. look out for the 16th where you have two options for your drive. Even when we were leaving the starter gave us a cheery wave(thank-you).
A fun day oot!
Lochgelly, whilst it is not the most famous coarse in Fife it is certainly one of the most enjoyable to play. Not long but with some really interesting holes, a good mix of short tricky approach shots and fast undulating greens make for a vey enjoyable experience.
Great value for money. You won’t be disappointed.
Good Value and Interesting Course
Course is within easy reach of Edinburgh. We received a friendly greeting and clear instructions to begin our round.
The course is parkland and a challenge for players of all abilities.
Accuracy is the way to play this course, as the rough can be a bit deep and there are lots of trees.
The course was in good condition given the dry spell of weather and pin placements challenging for our first visit to this course.
We found some of the "blind tees" and having to retrace our steps back up a few fairways in order to move on to the next tee, a bit disconcerting, but other than that we enjoyed the course and will return for another go on our next visit.
Verdict - Worth a visit.
Great course first time playing
Course is quite forgiving whilst still having its challenges! Lots of tricky doglegs that force you to change your club selection off the tee! Greens were very well kept and those playing alongside us were very friendly and would chat away and staff were lovely too! Highly recommend this to anyone wanting a fun and challenging little course for a good price.
Good for the money
Hilly layout be prepared. Excellent greens, some fairways a bit dry.
Challenging gc
VALUE FOR THE MONEY
very friendly staff at the reception, some fairways were a bit dry, the greens are good and fast, challenging holes, yes, so it is an enjoyable GC.
Very hilly have to be in good physical cond.
All good.
No Complaimts. Enjoyed as a novice playing with an experienced golfer. We will be back.
Lochgelly GC
"Lochgelly Golf Course is a real gem! The layout is very interesting, providing a fair test for golfers of all levels. The course is well looked after, with immaculate greens and fairways. The catering was also top-notch - and e had pre game rolls and coffee the only minus point was the bar was closed when we finished at 5pm. Overall, a fantastic experience that I would recommend to any golfer.
Good course, very tight
Course was good, really nice greens and decent fairways, course was fairly tight wouldn’t say it’s really well spaced out but overall decent (someone needs to have a look at the buggy’s though, very slow moving and suspension seems to be missing felt like I was driving about a bouncy castle half the time)
Great par threes and greens were nice and consistent
Never disappointed
Absolutely loved our round today.
The starter was very pleasant and helpful.
The course was in fantastic condition and the price was a bargain.
The only disappointment was and it's not the club's fault was the two idiots with no etiquette shouting to each other across the carpark while we we're are trying to putt on the 18th green.
This course is well laid out
The conditions of the greens was excellent and consistent. Each hole was a challenge using the trees, slopes, burns, ponds and bunker positions. I recommend giving it a bash
