Drumoig Golf Hotel sprawls across 250 acres of rolling countryside inhabited by a variety of different birds and wildlife. The dramatic landscape provides the course with plenty of loch-side fairways and quarry greens. The lochs come into play on three holes, most notably on the challenging par-3 ninth. The difficult tee shot is followed by a tricky shot over the loch in order to reach the green. More advanced golfers will find the back tees provide a good challenge while the front tees are better for beginners. Golfers will also enjoy the views that stretch past St. Andrews Bay and the River Tay to Dundee and Carnoustie. The par-5 fifth is the signature hole of the golf course. The hole, which often plays into prevailing wind, requires a strong drive and a long iron to reach the narrow opening to the green.

Slow play spoiled our day.

This is a very good layout with fairly wide fairways and big, but not huge, greens. The condition of the course was very good with the exception of the tees. They appeared to show the number of golfers playing the course. Speed of play was horrendous! By far the slowest round of golf i have ever played. We waited on every tee from the second and from 5th onwards 2 games on every tee.

Excelkent

Very enjoyable round at Drumoig. Superb fast, firm, smooth greens and close cut firm fairways made for a very enjoyable game despite the very strong wind that made some of the par5’s Very long, requiring 4 good hits to reach the green for all of us in the group including the single figure handicapper.

Highly recommended.

Windy weather
Walked

we found that it was quite congested and between the 9th tee and the 10th green there were SIX groups!!!

eight minutes between tee times is too short especially with bigger groups.

This course is in great condition.

Very enjoyable course to play. Layout was challenging. The quirky holes around the turn reward accuracy as opposed to brute strength off the tee. I would absolutely recommend you play especially as we got a great deal using GolfNow App.

Walked

Another first class day at Drumoig with some friends.

Apart from the pace of play, which seemed to be the fault of a group 3 in front of us, the day was as good as it gets.

Course conditions excellent with fair and responsive greens.

Drumoig

While the is a very nice place to enjoy a game of golf and an interesting setup with friendly staff it was very disappointing that on arrival my tee time had not been registered or overlooked by starter there was three outings booked on the course which is fair enough in time of COVID 19 ie money for club the pass of play was very slow with no group very willing to let us through till the 12th hole so after a lot of waiting on tees and fairways members playing behind us had a word with us about the pace of play very nicely I must say we stepped aside let them through to chase the group in front through took them to holes to get passed by which time another to groups were behind us very long 4/12 hours.

Lovely Course

Great weather so booked at Drumoig after being recommended by a friend, my wife went along to caddy and she was as impressed as i was with the course and facilities. We had a meal after the round and were treated above and beyond the staff duties plus the food was excellent, in a rating of 1-10 Drumoig would get 15 from me .....super day out.

Well worth a visit

Played here as a visitor many times and have never failed to enjoy it. Dry sandy sub soil so it does not flood or get boggy. An all year round course. Greens are always good but currently are magnificent.

Catering only three stars due to the fact there was none after the pandemic but is normally more than adequate

I’ve never seen it overly busy so pace of play is usually good. It’s far from hilly but if you need a buggy there are plenty around. .

A long walk

Long course with lovely wide fairways.. At some holes it is a long walk between green to tee. Lovely water feature which had some lovely birds - including a heron.
