Pelham Bay at Pelham/Split Rock Golf Course

Entire course was empty so pace of play was not an issue and all the holes were in great shape. Some room for improvement on the cart paths but it’s more esthetic than anything else. Course is wide open compared to others, so hitting bad drives into other fairways was not an issue.

Just FYI if you book through Golf Now, you won’t be able to choose which course you play. Just be prepared!

This place is a joke, embarrassingly terrible shape. Only thing worse was the 6 hour round because the ranger couldn’t be bothered to do something about the 4 teenagers who didn’t know how to golf but we’re allowed to back the entire course with their 8:30am tee time.

Come back this course with hope it is better but i regret.

1. They say cos i book through golfnow, then we have no choice to play in Pelham or Splitrock. If we want we have to go to their website. But if they think Golfnow is so annoying, why dont they stop corporating with them?

2. They ask us to play starting at hole 10 first without any explaination. That's change our game a lot. If you play there, you really don't like to start the tougher back 9 first.

3. We ask for the measure and marker for a competition, they ask us to leave our credit card there. Thats disappointed and disrespected to golfers

4. Some of the teeboxes are terrible. Fairways get worse and worse. Pace is too slow. And Its not deserved with $64/round

Our tee time was for 8:04 AM. But two tee times in front of us the 4 walkers spent 20 minutes on the first hole. We tee’d off at 8:25 and set us up for the longest day I have ever golfed. Had to wait 5 minutes on pretty much every hole even though we tried to slow our pace.

There is no marshaling and I can’t believe golfers have no etiquette or awareness. They should have been picking up their balls after their tee shots.

The fairways we’re in decent shape, the rough was thick and impossible, the tees need some work, and the sand traps hard as rocks. Good thing the bugs were gone due to the 63 degree weather.

Not sure I will come back until next season.

Pace of play is very slow but to be expected on a Saturday in NYC. That said, course in great shape, fairways nice a wide. Greens are very challenging.

I would play this again.

It’s up against wetlands on most of the 1st 9 holes, so there will be mosquitos. Tees fairways and greens were all in great shape. It’s significantly harder than Pelham bay.

When we first showed up we finally realized that there was no driving range or warm up facility when it was time to tee off we've been realized that the pace of play was so slow we tee off at 12:36 we didn't get to the 13th hold until 4:30 when we quit and gave up I'm from the Bronx but I will never visit this golf course again horrible

Not as tough as it’s twin, split rock, but a sold, straight hitter rewarding eighteen. The course has some water damage, and the day we played there were a few tee boxes under repair, but it didn’t diminish the aesthetic. Great course.

Challenging course. It was a great round. Rough was a little unkempt making it challenging to find our balls causing some slowdown. Mosquitoes were also annoying but otherwise much better than expected. Recommend!

Played a 5.5 hour round at Split Rock. Original tee time was 720, but we couldn’t start until 750. I understand the Memorial Day morning rush but i wish they had planned it better. At the very least the starter could be a bit nicer rather than rudely telling people to stay back. For $80 it’s a bit underwhelming. The only small improvement was that there weren’t as many bugs as usual on the 9th.

went out early, at 5.30 am, people were there already to help out. When i was teeing off, workers stopped engines, on the few occasions i was near them, which i appreciated

Mosquitoes an issue , so bring spray, but other wise, enjoyable 18 holes
