Overbooked
This course was overbooked by the staff which made the pace of play totally unbearable. An 18 hole round took 5.5 hours to play.
I Tried To Like These Courses
I’ve been here several times. I won’t be going again. Today’s front 9 took 3 hours on Split Rock. Tee times are too close together and the staff doesn’t do any work to speed things up. I also can’t tolerate letting people play without clubs. The Starter let four people out two groups ahead and only two of them had clubs. The other two had their own cart. I just can’t justify spending money here anymore.
Good course
Good course with some damaged areas that didn’t really affect play, greens are in excellent shape.
Okay for NYC public...
I think they have the template to be a fantastic muni track but they aren't there at all. The rough is inconsistent and patchy with spots of dead grass or dirt. The greens are actually way better than you'd expect for a public track with heavy traffic.
With some minor investment to up the overall standards, they can be a gem in the BX.
A rip off
It rained we only got to played 4 holes and they would not give us a rain check because we booked with golf now
Pelham/Split Rock
I had reserved Split Rock. When got there they have switched the reservation to the Pelham course. After questioning the switch they sent us to play Split Rock only to find out they were having an Outing there.
Carts were in terrible shape. Brakes didn’t function properly windshields were cracked. Divot holes everywhere on fairways, greens were just fair.
Tees n greens aerating
The greens and tees aeration par for most courses this time of year.. A nice wide open course
Great
Compared to other courses locally I’d say this is the best. Really miss the complimentary beverage and meal coupons though…
Played a few times. Wayyyyy too slow
They overbook and have way too slow of a pace of play. Saturday was 5.5 hours….. ewww
