Pelham Bay at Pelham/Split Rock Golf Course

Not as tough as it’s twin, split rock, but a sold, straight hitter rewarding eighteen. The course has some water damage, and the day we played there were a few tee boxes under repair, but it didn’t diminish the aesthetic. Great course.

Challenging course. It was a great round. Rough was a little unkempt making it challenging to find our balls causing some slowdown. Mosquitoes were also annoying but otherwise much better than expected. Recommend!

Played a 5.5 hour round at Split Rock. Original tee time was 720, but we couldn’t start until 750. I understand the Memorial Day morning rush but i wish they had planned it better. At the very least the starter could be a bit nicer rather than rudely telling people to stay back. For $80 it’s a bit underwhelming. The only small improvement was that there weren’t as many bugs as usual on the 9th.

Course was in good shape,

went out early, at 5.30 am, people were there already to help out. When i was teeing off, workers stopped engines, on the few occasions i was near them, which i appreciated

Mosquitoes an issue , so bring spray, but other wise, enjoyable 18 holes

This course was overbooked by the staff which made the pace of play totally unbearable. An 18 hole round took 5.5 hours to play.

I’ve been here several times. I won’t be going again. Today’s front 9 took 3 hours on Split Rock. Tee times are too close together and the staff doesn’t do any work to speed things up. I also can’t tolerate letting people play without clubs. The Starter let four people out two groups ahead and only two of them had clubs. The other two had their own cart. I just can’t justify spending money here anymore.

Good course with some damaged areas that didn’t really affect play, greens are in excellent shape.

I think they have the template to be a fantastic muni track but they aren't there at all. The rough is inconsistent and patchy with spots of dead grass or dirt. The greens are actually way better than you'd expect for a public track with heavy traffic.

With some minor investment to up the overall standards, they can be a gem in the BX.

It rained we only got to played 4 holes and they would not give us a rain check because we booked with golf now

I had reserved Split Rock. When got there they have switched the reservation to the Pelham course. After questioning the switch they sent us to play Split Rock only to find out they were having an Outing there.
