Pelham Bay at Pelham/Split Rock Golf Course

Friendly staff. Lots of trees, some doglegs, some water . Bunkers were little hard but it’s the beginning of season. Short and long par threes. Good course. Will give the average Sunday golfer some trouble lol.

When I went to pro shop. I felt they were not friendly at all. I was first timer to play there , but they did not explain anything . For their course , if I have to pay more , I never play there. They were just normal course . Their average fee are so pricey . I just paid a little for rain day, that was good deal . I did not like them in pro shop.

I played 18 Sunday morning and enjoyed my first round of the season. The course was in pretty decent shape for early April. Greens were recently aerated so putting wasn’t so fun. I’m sure the greens will be fantastic when the season is in full swing. The layout was fun with just the right amount of challenge.

Tee time was 12:36. We were told tyhat there was a cart shortage. We had to hang out by the cart drop off by the underpass where there was no cart distribution. People for pelham were just bullying there Wayfair carts only to have 16 carts lined up to tee off. 16! The ranger for pelham just shrugged his shoulders. A half out later when we did get two carts, the line was so backed up at SR that we had to wait another hour. Then the ranger comes and says he has to put another group in front of us because they played the back nine first and they are “our guys” whatever that means. Terrible terrible management compared to 2 other Greta times I have had playing pelham 4 years ago. Get it together. My whole party should get a voucher or something because a 12:36 tee time shouldn’t have taken 7 hours to play a round from parking to leaving

Course is still in winter condition but looking forward to going back as the weather warms

Played here last Friday afternoon. The pace of play was abysmal! 5 1/2 hour around. Not a ranger in sight. Waited five to 10 minutes on every shot.

The course itself was in reasonable condition except for the fact that at least half of the tea boxes were closed.

I get that this is a New York City public course and it was one of the first nice days of the season. However, the people I played with who play here regularly said that around of this length at this course is pretty standard, especially on nice days.

It is an excusable For them to not have good active course management. Made a nice day very frustrating. I will not be back.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course. I played on 3/14 and I was expecting a very wet, torn up course given the weather we have had recently. Luckily, that was not the case and the course played pretty true. Everything was matted down from the recent snowfall, which made it very easy to find miss hits. The greens rolled relatively well also given the time of year. Overall, it was a good pre-season experience and I plan to get out there as often as possible moving forward.
