About
Marshall Canyon Golf Course is nestled within the scenic foothills that overlook La Verne. The course is seemingly short at 6,110 yards from the back tees but it's not to be underestimated. The hilly terrain provides more than enough uneven lies and blind shots. The fast greens are also some of the toughest in the area but they are nicely balanced by wide, player-friendly fairways. The hard-to-read greens have subtle but tricky breaks that get easier once you've played the golf course before but even then, they still present some challenges. Marshall Canyon is a local favorite not only for the challenging round but also because it's a good value with great scenery. Golfers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and will often catch a glimpse of the many deer that roam the course.

Hard greens
The greens were very hard and slow. Challenging. Otherwise it was a good time overall. Good for a local place to play
Tough Greens
I really enjoyed this course and the course layout. The greens were the highlight for me. They were very difficult with lots of undulations. The course is not very long but is still challenging. My only complaint would be pace of play. It took us 5:15 to play 18.
Course in good condition. Greens rolled med/fast.
Bunkers soaked with heavy sand. Many soaked and muddy areas on many holes, they should mark em better as many idiots are driving thru them..
SLOW
very slow, :20 minutes after our tee time. we teed off. DID NOT FINISH.
Too slow
I've played this course for decades and have never seen it this slow. Not sure what was going on but I really hope this doesn't represent the start of a trend of large and slow groups.
OVERBOOKED W/ No Carts.
They WAY over booked, but why would you take money give a tee-time that ends up bring 30 min after because they have too many people, they crammed the course and it was like a literally road block on the course through 7 holes, I went back and got my money. …. Some teenage kid was working the register in pro shop, very rude and disrespectful. Definitely, not a “Pro”. The fact that they continued taking peoples money, setting tee times blows my mind. If the course is FULL, it’s FULL. Do not try and charge people a premium Sunday price until 4PM, if it’s bumper to bumper golf. It’s simple …. Run a business how you, yourself would like to be treated, bottom line. They seemed set on the opposite, take everyone’s money & let them fight over the course allday long. Doesn’t sound like a relaxing day of golf too me, I’ll never be back here again unfortunately!
