Type
Par 72
Length 6635 yards
Slope 130
Rating 72.7

The Strathmore Golf Centre's Rannaleroch Course, designed by John Salvesen and opened in 1996, has already been described as a classic. The generous greens are great targets, but their undulations make for an unexpected challenge.

The four par 3s each present an individual challenge, ranging from 122 to 224 yards, while the fifth, a challenging par-5 hole, requires a 160-yard carry over water from the white tees. The-par-72 course measures 6,454 yards.

Strathmore has something for everyone, including the 18-hole Rannaleroch Course and the nine-hole Leitfie Links, a 10-bay covered golf range and a golf academy.

Nice course.

Tee times 7 minutes many 4 balls, was busy and slow. Advise to pick a quiet time if there is one!

Strathmore

On a very windy day I took to Strathmore GC, not knowing what I would find, not the longest of courses off the yellows but a very enjoyable course with some interesting and challenging holes, the 18th at 440yds uphill par 4 comes to mind, plus I must add the 6th hole par 3 (where I had a hole in one) will always be remembered. As always in Scotland, very good value for money.

A must play in Perthshire . Course as always was well presented . Unfortunately club house facilities were closed due to current restrictions but a varied takeaway menu was on offer.

Very disappointing

I usually enjoy this course and really only play this course and Alyth. This outing was terrible. We were held up by a 5 ball. They finally let us through after I asked politely, they were not impressed that we requested we pass them btw. When we passed them it was fine. Course is good enough and I'm not having a dig at the course. When we then got to the tenth tee there was a single golfer who started on the tenth with his screaming fighting kids and two dogs. I mean really, he's golfing and his kids and dogs are running amuck. Phoned the clubhouse. I will not play here again, think I'm gonna join Alyth. That's a cracking course which I will be joining

Strathmore G C

Beautiful course in a wonderful setting and wouldn’t hesitate to play again. Excellent value for money and good clubhouse facilities. Only negative was the green conditions which weren’t on a par with the quality of the rest of the course. All said and done a great round.

Good Course Fantastic Restaurant !!!!!

The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.

The Lady in the pro-shop took us outside in the rain and showed us where the first tee was for both the Leitfie 9 Hole course, which we played first and the 1st and 10th Tees on the Rannaleroch main course.

She apologised for the poor green conditions on the 9 Hole course caused by lack of rain after they had hollow tined the greens and gave us a generous discount on the rate for that course.

The main Rannaleroch Course was in good condition considering the prolonged dry spell with excellent and receptive greens.

Afterwards we had a meal in one of the best clubhouse restaurants I have ever been in, with a superb and extensive menu choice and very friendly, helpful and informative waiting staff. The food itself was of an excellent quality. As it was Steak night all four of our party had steaks, all of which were cooked to perfection as we each liked them.

I cannot recommend this golf club and especially the clubhouse restaurant highly enough for friendly staff and excellent food. !!!!!
