Flat and dry

Course is nice and flat. Bumpy, so you can still get an uneven lie, but no hills to speak of. It’s nice and wide open too, so very few places to lose a ball. There’s been a bit of rain lately but the course was dry and fairways and greens running well. Although the course is short it doesn’t feel like it, there are some long par 3’s and dog legs lined with trees.

Bothwellbill

An easy to play course due to it being completely flat.Greens and fairways first class.

Unfortunately the course suffers through incursion by members of the public, particularly dog walkers.

Staff and members very helpful and friendly.

Good

Coarse is split in two by a road

The first half is very well maintained with the second half

Being in a good condition

However we found there to be quite a high volume of walkers and dog walkers passing through as we were either teeing off

Or on the fairways

Shame about the greens

First time playing, was disappointed with the disease ridden greens. Left a horrible sticky mess all over your ball every time you putted. Hard to figure out where next tees are, but a fairly quick round as no par 5’s unless playing whites. Food in the clubhouse was good value for money.

Give it another month

Great course, very busy, almost 4 hours to go round in a 2 ball, a lot of hanging around. Sadly greens are in poor condition, but hopefully pick up in next few weeks . But I will definitely try and play it again, and would still recommend it.

Nice course

First time playing here and had a great time. The clubhouse is nice and the pro shop has a decent selection of equipment. Staff are friendly. Course layout isn’t immediately obvious but has a map at the first tee so take a picture for reference. A few kids on one tee box but they moved without too much fuss. (They weren’t playing golf). Played 18 holes and was in and out in about 3 and a half hours. Course is in decent condition. Would definitely recommend.

Full Greens in Winter

Hi, we played in March , 15 of 18 holes were full greens . Nice course , not the longest but winter tees shortened most of the holes. Would recommend.

Poor course

Was very disappointed with the course if not for one of the members playing with us don't think we would have found our way round the course so easily. A lot of people walking on the course with dogs and playing the 15th was like playing down a main street. My view if you have course you like to play go spend your money there and enjoy your round. Pity as this is my first bad review of a course.
