East Kilbride Golf Club

About
East Kilbride Golf Club playing as a Par 71 is a tough test of golf a parkland course with lots of trees it can be a tough track when the wind blows, and it usually blows. The greens are quite large and are usually in excellent condition. The fairways are generous and plush. Toughest par 3 is number 10 playing at around 200 yds and depending on the wind can be anywhere from a Driver to a 8 iron. #10 green is guarded by bunkers on the left and right. Toughest par 4 #11 from the back tees #11 plays close to 400 yds it is a severe dog leg left with the fairway sloping at a 45 degree angle to the right there are two large trees that guards the dogleg on either side of the fairway. Toughest par 5 # 13 Playing close to 550 from the back tees #13 is uphill usually in to the wind there is a dogleg to the right at around 100 yards from the green this dogleg is protected by trees to the right and a bunker on either side the green is raised and so the pin position is tough to judge. East Kilbride is a good test of golf and I recommend it score out of 10 is 8.

Tip Top Nick
Course was in fantastic condition. Absolute 10/10 for the greens, no bare patches around. The course is a good size not too short and not only for the big boys. A good all round challenge for a mid handicapper ala myself. It's set quite high in East Kilbride yet wasn't as hilly as I feared it might. Consistently gently hilly I'd describe it.
Lovely course, friendly atmosphere and great facilities
Excellent course in very well maintained conditions. The greens were true and a good speed, fairways and tees in excellent condition and the course is very well kept.
Challenging off the tee with some holes that are deceptive off the tee but a good test of golf and an enjoyable course to play.
Very friendly staff member in the pro shop and good facilities (putting green, chipping area, net and practice range).
Would definitely recommend.
Great Parkland Course
Generous fairways, subtle variations in shot shape and decent length make this an enjoyable challenge. Course was in great condition despite the damp spring, with the greens a little slow but true.
Winter golf
Got stuck behind 3 women who refused to let us play through despite waiting at every shot for 6 holes.( we were a 2 ball) Wasn’t aware of the winter tees and alternative route to play when booking. We played a traditional 1-18 as we had to escape the game in front that was incredibly slow or we wouldn’t finish in daylight. For the time of year the course was in great shape. Greens are outstanding and I feel the green staff should be complimented on this and their hard work. The welcome from the pro shop and other members was kind and friendly. A lovely course that I’d happily play again. Some cracking views added to the experience. Clubhouse looks great but was closed as we finished our round due to the time of year. Remember it’s ready golf and let quicker games through especially when you have lost the game in front of you
Conditions made the course unplayable
We booked at the tail end of the cold snap and the ground was still solid. Winter tees and winter greens which we weren’t advised of until we got there. We werent allowed to play off the fairway due to the course being frozen. The pro kindly told us to email in and they would give us another chance to play but when I emailed I was told that wouldn’t be considered as I booked through GolfNow. Won’t be playing that course again which is a shame as it is my local course, also wont be using GolfNow again if it means we get treated in this manner.
Really good course which is kept in great condition. Played a few times now and will be back
Enjoyable day
The cheery lady in the pro shop got our day off to the best possible start with her friendly and welcoming attitude. The golf course deserves equal praise. It is a well designed track in great condition. A very enjoyed experience all round and great value into the bargain.
Greens were brilliant
Last day of there winter layout which changes the order of the holes, a bit of a pain as means more faf on your watch changing holes. Course has dried out well and greens were great. Would recommend
Good course
Good course, well kept with interesting holes. Most holes ok for mid handicappers from yellow tees
Nice track
Nice course in good condition considering the time of year. Forward tees and a couple of temp greens: would love to play it in the summer. Not convinced that £25 was best value for a shortened course with fairway and Tee protection measures in place but an enjoyable track all the same.
East Kilbride golf club review
Played the full course for the first time, despite the poor weather recently the course was in really good condition, good variety of holes, and an absolute bargain at £16 through golf now, definitely on my play again list
Excellent coarse
Was great to get round Eastkilbride again . As always coarse was in great shape . Constantly raining the whole 18 holes . Still loved my round always great to play there great coarse to measure how you are playing has some tough holes although very fair in others . Greens were great some very challenging with the slope and gradient but surface was putting well .
Nice course
Nice course.
Staff where really helpful and the pro shop looked great.
Members play really quick though and we where constantly being rushed.
I would play the course again but hopefully at a quieter time.
Good Test
Played East Kilbride before . This afternoon there was more wind the par 5 s all played longer and a good test . Condition of the course was excellent as always . Friendly welcome as always
Hottest Day of the Year
Had a 7-20am tee off . Pro shop was closed however helpful members gave us cards and made sure we got off on time .Good chipping and putting practice areas to help us warm up . Course was in excellent condition . Good variation of holes to suit most players . We had breakfast when we finished our round again no complaints quality of food was excellent as was the service from the bar staff .All in a good day and experience
Great course
Course was really good, fairly open fairways so not too difficult greens and fairways in good condition !
