East Kilbride Golf Club

About
East Kilbride Golf Club playing as a Par 71 is a tough test of golf a parkland course with lots of trees it can be a tough track when the wind blows, and it usually blows. The greens are quite large and are usually in excellent condition. The fairways are generous and plush. Toughest par 3 is number 10 playing at around 200 yds and depending on the wind can be anywhere from a Driver to a 8 iron. #10 green is guarded by bunkers on the left and right. Toughest par 4 #11 from the back tees #11 plays close to 400 yds it is a severe dog leg left with the fairway sloping at a 45 degree angle to the right there are two large trees that guards the dogleg on either side of the fairway. Toughest par 5 # 13 Playing close to 550 from the back tees #13 is uphill usually in to the wind there is a dogleg to the right at around 100 yards from the green this dogleg is protected by trees to the right and a bunker on either side the green is raised and so the pin position is tough to judge. East Kilbride is a good test of golf and I recommend it score out of 10 is 8.

Great course, great people - absolute winner
Played on a trip to the open. Course was in great condition, everyone was really friendly. Challenging course with a great variety of holes.
A must stop for anyone
A golf course in great condition!
Lovely layout, suitable for all handicaps. Greens in great condition and overall a course that I look forward to going back to!
Greens in Terrible Condition
Rather disappointed to find that the greens had been spiked and sand had been spread everywhere. Wouldn't expect this level of maintenance in the middle of summer. No warning was given prior to booking or day of play.
Condition of the course was immaculate!
Conditions were excellent. Staff very friendly. Already booked my return.
Cannot wait to return
Tee’d off at 2.30pm in the rain, it wasn’t exactly pouring but steady and continuous. The course was in magnificent condition and by the 6th the rain had stopped and there wasn’t a breath of wind.
It’s a considerable challenge however there are holes that can provide a more respectable card. Be aware of the par 3’s there are 2 which border on being par 4’s.
The clubhouse facilities and the extensive external area is large and very spacious. An excellent view of the first Tee should the weather permit.
I cannot wait to return as do my two fellow golfers on the day. Greens and fairways as good as I’ve ever experienced.

Brilliant find
A great little course. Fairly flat, challenging back 9, friendly staff and in amazing condition!
Treated disgracefully
We arrived into the pro shop at 1:13 for a 1:18 t off time ready to play. A couple of elderly ladies were in front of us in the queue. When the club staff member had finished dealing with them she looked at us and with surprise asked if we were the 1:18 still only 1:16 on the clock in the pro shop at this point.
We replied yes we are the lady promptly snapped you’re late 🤯 and told us it was club policy that players turn up 15 mins before t times she couldn’t show us where it said this however.
We were told she had givin our t time to two elderly woman who were booked on at 1:25 however we were standing in the pro shop at 1:18 and these women were halfway down the fairway.
So in short if you turn up to this course ON time don’t be surprised if your refused a game and your t time has been givin away, we were also refused a full refund by the club.
Currently taking this issue up with they’re club secatery
Great Course for the Price
Would definitely play again. Great little course and excellent value for money
Refused play
Utter shambles, we arrived here ready to T off 5 or so minutes before our booking to be told we were LATE two elderly ladies had not only been givin our T time but were halfway down the fairway at 1:18 which was our T off. So badly dealt with it’s not funny and I’m currently chasing them for a refund. Will NEVER be back again

Excellent course… thoroughly enjoyed it. Recently retired from Kirkhill GC and found EKGC to be a nicer and better kept course.Fairways and especially the greens were in really good condition. Practice green/ chipping area also very good. Lad in the pro shop also very helpful.
Loved it.
East Kilbride
The course was in excellent condition, marred only slightly by the amount of grass cuttings that hadn’t been collected or mulched into the semi rough because of recent rain. That apart the course was very playable.
Pace of play was disappointing as a two ball stretched to four hours was a little frustrating, but only because the course was so popular with visitors on the day.
In summary it made for an enjoyable late afternoon round despite the two minor points outlined above.
Good course
Was a great day at East Kilbride gc good course and very nice woman in the pro shop
Excellent course
One of the best I’ve played in Glasgow. Was a super early round and was first out so can’t speak for pace of play, but thought the layout was awesome, as was course condition. Especially impressive as I beat the ground men out. Great weather for sure helped but I can only rate conditions I played in. Will be back!
I've played a few courses around Glasgow and surrounding areas trying to find somewhere to possibly join.Well it think I may have found it.Absolutely fantastic course.
