Excellent condition course greens in good shape PGA professional very welcoming and helpful

Thoroughly enjoyed this course.

Staff were extremely pleasant.

This is a good course for older players as there were no steep hills. Would definitely play again.

A real hidden gem. Best course I have played for the price I paid. Weather was good which made it a good challenge on the greens. Can't think of a bad hole on the course, every one a test.

Will certainly go back before the end of the season.

4 of us paid £12 each to play and all 4 had a great time and loved the course. We will be back. Lady in the clubhouse was super friendly as was the girl in the pro shop.

Course in really good condition and course was quiet.

Few stand out holes but best was probably the 4th which is a really challenging par 4.Got a hot deal and 48 quid for a four ball was excellent value

Everything about this round was excellent and good value for money. Recommend

Shotts was enjoyable. Friendly members. Had three winter greens and a requirement to play from semi rough.

A lot of water on the course. But still in good condition.

Both my son and I had a good days golf. Some good some bad.

Look forward to visiting again in better conditions

I booked within an hour of playing because of work constraints worried wouldn’t get in 18 holes. Fantastic reception pro shop the members I met (including ground staff acknowledged me) a huge plus in my 1 player persona..greens were sanded that very day for the price no quibble. I found plenty of room for error fairways (on the few occasions) within my round some lovely views I respectfully suggest some easier pars achievable some accuracy demanded with small greens.. I will revisit and demand more of myself on I hope easier putting surface..no complaints whatsoever enjoyed every moment. Loved 17 was slightly left thinking bunkers protecting green not so further than u think shot over trees to 7ft pin huge smile on my ego..genuinely looking forward to revisit.must say members allowed me through & after apologised for not letting me join them as they were playing for money obviously saw me as a threat (trust said members are laffing) afterward bar food excellent was round in 3hrs with time to eat cannot thank u all enough. Nice course, we were on winter greens but this is to be expected for the time of year

Had booked an early tee time but unfortunately the course was like a scene from Brigadoon with a heavy fog all over.

The guys in the pro shop where very welcoming and gave us the choice to play or not, the shared view was that the haar should lift by the time we got to the 3rd tee, so we teed off hitting into the abyss.

Started with a par/bogey so playing blind isnt that bad, by the time we drove up the 3rd the sun was burning through.

The course started to show as being in great condition, the fairways in great condition and although the greens had been dressed they still ran true.

Memorable holes

4th , nice dog leg with an elevated green into the corner, watch out that the gps shows a burn running across the fairway but its mainly underground. Out of bounds to the right the full length makes it a bit more challenging

5th A nice short par 3, tons of green beyond the bunkers

10th is a very good long drive hole par 4/5 dog leg left

15th is a nice short par 4

16th a longer par 3, 200 yards of the yellow

Overall the course layout was great , plenty of trees but the fairways are generous

When we arrived it was very foggy - so visibility was limited - this however improved as the day went on. The course was in good condition with a pleasant setting. It was quite undulating but not a difficult walk. Some very good and challenging holes and maintenance was generally good. The green were basic and not to USGA standards but they were still playable and ran reasonably well albeit slow. The clubhouse looked closed for catering and drinks but it was a Monday and the traffic on the course was light. Overall a very enjoyable round with friendly staff and local golfers.

Very nice course. Couple very hard holes but nothing too major that should put anyone off. First time playing it and would definitely change the way I played some holes but the actual course is very good
