Situated between Glenroths and Loch Leven is Leslie Golf Club, which plays into the heart of the Scottish heartlands. The nine-hole course is attractive, but difficult for first-time players.

A winding burn that winds through the course comes into play on occasional holes. The course plays 2,400 yards and is a par 31. The club is open for public play and is minutes from St. Andrews.

Friendliest Golf Course in Fife!

Lovely 9-hole course with some challenging holes and good variety. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming to newcomers. The greens are still recovering but the spirit of the course and its members more than makes up for it. Will be back to give it another go later in the season!

Tee boxes need cut , greens are very very poor , nicer courses for less/same price. Staff were very lovely and accommodating and did tell our group that conditions weren’t the greatest and that there is also foot golf that gets played there also.

Worst course I’ve ever played

Where do I start?

I’ve never seen greens with grass as long and unkept as Leslie. There is no layout info in the tee box and I had no idea where to play. The greens had weeds the size of my hand (and I have Mits for hands) and the grass around the cup was so long on the 2nd green that the ball couldn’t roll in.

I couldn’t make out if the 2nd fairway, closer to the green, was actual fairway or semi-rough. The 3rd tee had 1 marker and I had no idea where to go. I can only assume that the 2nd and 3rd holes share a fairway due to the random green that was next to the 2nd tee.

I’m looking forward to my refund, as I walked off after 2 holes. It’s a shambles that GolfNow is marketing this course, especially at £25, which is £7 more than Glenrothes GC which you cannot begin to compare Leslie to.

Decent little course

Very warm welcome from the staff. When we arrived we were met with a sincere apology about the condition of the course and the gentleman explained to us how the club operates and how the weather conditions have affected them interns of delaying the process of the condition that the course would normally be in.

Overall a good morning of golf on a challenging little course and would recommend to anyone just looking to get out and have a bit of practice.
