The tenth, called Arran, features one of the most interesting greens at Largs, as well as great scenery. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2024

Eleven, a beast of a par-4, plays 407 yards and ends on a green set well above the fairway atop a steep slope. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2024

The 17th hole was my favorite short par-4 at Largs. It’s a great drive-and-pitch hole that demands care on the approach. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2024

Well worth playing
Largs Golf Clubs is a decent course with oustanding views. Several lateral water hazards on the course which require tactical play. Staff were very friendly and I would recommend a visit. It was winter conditions when we played and it was lift to the side into the 1st cut but that didn't spoil what was an enjoyable round. This was also reflected in the cost of the round through teeofftimes which was good value for the time of year.
Greens in excellent condition
Could not believe how good the condition of this course especially the greens for this time of year
Largs day out
Excellent welcome by the club pro on arrival. He allowed us to tee off early. It started raining very heavily on the 3rd hole. The course was in beautiful condition and the greens particularly good. On the 9th hole the experience deteriorated. There was a visiting party of around 11-15 individuals playing in one 3 ball and the rest fourballs. They were loud and shouting and swearing at each other. On the 11th hole we had to wait on the tee for a full 14 minutes to tee off in the pouring rain. We called to play through this was ignored. On the 12th tee we were told aggressively we would not be getting through. We played the whole and walked in after completion. Day was ruined. We then could not enjoy the hospitality of the Bar steward Stuart Garrett and restaurant as the visiting party had a table booked in the dining area. Top avoid confrontation we ate in town.
Highly Recommended
Played the course today for the first time in around 15 years. Condition of the course was outstanding with the greens being the best I have played on all year, and considering this is Oct hats of to the greenkeeping staff who are obviously doing a superb job. Great mix of long and short holes with an excellent layout. Played in glorious sunshine which meant the views over to Millport and Arran were stunning.
Will definitely be playing again and would highly recommend this course to others.
Superb
8 of us played as an away trip from our home courses at Irvine Bogside and West Kilbride. Despite a very blustery day with some rain we were thoroughly impressed with the course layout, condition for time of year and welcome from staff and members.
Left wondering how we had managed to NOT play Largs GC before.
Overall first class.
What a great club
Played in a tournament at Largs today; played practice round yesterday.
What a great golf course; its condition was first class; a credit to the green keeping staff. The south wind made it more challenging on the way out. The greens were very good and a good pace.
The staff in the clubhouse were friendly and welcoming and the pro shop was well stocked and friendly.
Two great days spent in Largs; will certainly be back and recommend it to all to visit.
Hidden Gem
Arrived at Largs having heard great reports about the golf course and we were not disappointed. The course is a delight with the greens very fast and true. We played the last couple of holes with a member who took us into the clubhouse after for a drink. Really nice touch and seems like a friendly club. Can't wait to return next time I'm in the area. Definitely recommend.
