Well maintained greens and the burn running through it makes for a feature at several holes. Really hilly, particulary back 9 so be prepared for a hike. Gets you right out in the country and away from everything. Memorable Hole - 9th. Dog leg right to a steep sloping green, with burn running along front of it. Drive to the dog leg to leave an accurate pitch into green. If you hit front of green its more than likely a watery grave for you.

Make or Break - 5th. A monster 500+yds par 5. Tee from an elevated green then you need a good fairway wood to leave you chance of hitting green in 3. Out of bounds burn runs all way up right hand side of hole and round back of green. 3rd shot to green, tucked in a corner, is usually blind. A par here is excellent.

First Time Playing this Course

This was the first time playing this course and really enjoyed it. The opening hole is a challenging part 3 to get the round started. The Course in general was in really good conditioning, however the greens are slightly bumpy but definitely payable. To play this course for £10/12 is an absolute bargain. Well done to the staff and people who run it.

Cost of Round

Course layout was good. Fairways in good condition. Greens a bit bumpy. If you are going to play this course book directly with them. I paid £12 through Golf Now whereas if I paid through the club it would have been £10. All in all great value for money.

Great course with a lot of potential.

After hearing that GT Groundcare had made a significant investment into the course, I was keen to book a round. At just £12 each, it represented excellent value, particularly for a club currently undergoing redevelopment and improvement works.

The course was well presented, and the greens were in good condition for the time of year.

I will definitely be returning when I’m next in the area.

Excellent Surprise

I choose to play this course purely based on the price. It’s not a course I’ve ever heard of before as it’s not that close to me but I thought I’d gamble on the 30 minute drive to play a cheap round. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The course of overall condition was great. The tee boxes were in great condition, the fairways were in very good condition and the greens were good but you could tell they have been worked on for summer so in a few months I expect them to be excellent.

Good layout as well, 9 out and 9 in which can be handy for playing a quick 9, not a flat course but by no means death by hillwalking.

A lot of long par 4’s which I always like.

I’d be happy to play again and I’d also be happy to pay more than it’s advertised at.

Challenging

This was my first time playing the course and as a beginner it was quite a challenge. The course itself I thought was in great condition and I found it easy enough to find my way around .

Found it quite hilly so would definitely recommend taking a golf cart

Great course

Played this course by myself, was almost empty so played very quickly. Fairways were tight and sometimes challenging and in good condition. Course layout was sometimes confusing but not too bad. Greens were quite slow but very consistent. Overall great course for the price

Not a bad course. Shame about the "welcome".

Just fancied an early morning round on my own. Fair price and about 45 mins away from me.

Arrived early to get myself sorted. I had booked the 0730 tee time.

There was around 8 members waiting to tee off. I was "questioned" as to why I was there and it was pointed out to me that it was "their" tee time and mini medal. I shouldn't be playing. Not a great start.

Once the starter arrived at the shop, I was quizzed as to why I had managed to book the early tee time! Clearly, not my fault. If they can't operate the system then that shouldn't be projected on to myself. The starter was very gruff in his tone and incredibly not friendly. I was told I shouldn't have booked it. Now, it was available on the app, I booked it. I can see no problem.

Course was fairly decent. Greenskeppers were friendly, thankfully.

All in all an experience I shall not be repeating.

Nice layout pity about the long grass

Nice staff, nice layout but the course needed a mower over it. Starter said it had not been cut because it was too warm. Fair comment as its a small set up with minimal staff. For the price paid can't complain too much.

Course has potential with the correct maintenance.

Great round in super conditions

Brilliant round, without pressure or pace of play issues as it was quiet. Be prepared for a workout as it is very hilly but a lovely course.
