The West Kilbride Golf Club

We played this course on a Sunday afternoon and paid £50 for our round. It was worth every penny, course was in great condition and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Travelled down from Glasgow due to my own course and a few others still recovering from the brunt of Storm Eowyn.

Shop staff were extremely friendly and helped out with a mat to play and got me out earlier than my scheduled tee-time.

Course was in phenomenal condition given the recent weather, greens had been aerated and sanded but were consistent and you'd hardly notice they had been. Winds made it entertaining but the course layout means you don't consistently benefit or get punished as you alternate in and out of it. It did make for some interesting shot decisions.

Will definitely play again in sunnier environs as it would pose a different challenge.

Only minor gripe, one of the greenskeepers removed the pin and put a temporary green in play just as I was reaching my approach shot on the 10th. There was a 4 hole gap to the group behind me so he could have waited, which was frustrating but wider experience offset it.

Great course to play and reasonable price. The course is in great condition and is enjoyable to play. Played twice without rain and pace of play is perfect. Staff are very helpful. Best kept secret along the western coast. A++

Played West Kilbride a good few times now and always look forward to playing. Great links course and a great test when the wind picks up.

We had a great day but I was very disappointed that we were made to pay full price (£85 per head) when the greens had been cored either that morning or the day previous. We had travelled through from Glasgow for a change of scenery and looking forward to playing links golf, however the greens were in very bad condition due to being cored. We ended up not enjoying it as much as we’d hoped and never had the full links experience, and paying close to £100 per golfer was too much.

Played as 4 ball what a course this is a must play fantastic views, the course condition was excellent, didnt try the club house so cant comment, will defo be bk playing this very soon

A really fair enjoyable course in superb condition with incredible views. A great variety of holes and enjoyable throughout. A must play in the area.

Played on a lovely Sunday evening. A gorgeous links course that was in absolutely great condition with every hole having spectacular views of Arran and the firth of cylde. I will definitely play here again

Fantastic value. Not long which makes for a great casual round with amazing views.

This is a really too course with some of the best views imaginable. Condition of the course especially the greens was impeccable for early spring after a dry spell. Wonderful layout of varied holes- superbly placed bunkers to catch you out if not playing up to greens properly.

A really exceptional experience and very reasonably priced for visitors on Sat and Sun pm

The course was in OK condition for the time of year. I was really disappointed with the condition of the greens though nearly impossible to stop the ball due to the amount of sand. Overall it is a decent course and well worth a visit for the views.
