Highly Recommended
Winter play is great. I played my first two round here over Thanksgiving week. The greens are well kept, and the fairway and ruff is good considering the season. There is a good variety of challenges on various holes. I look forward to playing here again, and I'm really looking forward to playing here in the spring when the trees fill in. That will really change the course and will probably be very pretty. I average low 90's and I shot upper 90's both rounds. This is a challenging course.
great course
I used to live on the course but since moved away. It is better than ever. So beautiful and the greens were great.
Nice to have this course back in the hands of the first developers.
This course is making a comeback from several years of poor maintenance. Greens are good & getting better each month, fairways are much better than last season & the collars are 100% improved. Nothing better than people who really care for their course. Nice to have the original family owners back.
Course in great shape!!
Greens played true fairways n rough clear of fall debrie, truly enjoyed good course!!
Good layout, good condition, good course.
Course was in good condition and was well maintained. Place of play was extremely slow. There were no marshals on the course to speed up the pace.
great course, great staff.
Played Summer Grove 9/7. Had an afternoon tee time which was great because of the rain overnight. Expected cart path only but to my surprise it was 90 degrees. The maintenance staff should be commended. The greens were true and the traps were dry. If you haven't play the course since the Jemsek Family took it back over, you are missing a good golf day.
Tough course in a gorgeous area. Requires some difficult shots to score well
Great big clubhouse with friendly people. Nice practice range and putting area. Great prices on golfnow. Really a pretty course with rolling hills and trees and water here and there throughout. Quite a few doglegs you need to be careful not to hit too far and the greens are pretty difficult if you don't chip close to the pin. I I didn't play well and still really look forward to playing more golf here.
This is a beautiful course.
We had a great time playing this course. There are some very beautiful holes here.
Great track with some beautiful holes
Played this course with a fellow PGA teaching pro friend and it was the first time either of us had played it. We were playing from the back tees and really enjoyed the layout and specifically enjoyed the water holes as they were very pretty holes to play. Two par threes had water in play for us from the back and the par 4 5th hole I think along the water was one of the best looking holes we have played. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Bunkers seemed to need some attention in some spots as you had clumps of weeds in a few we saw but overall a great experience and a joy to play. We had a yard book we bought from the pro shop and glad we did that since the course wasn't marked extremely well for distance. Put it in your GPS if you have one and it will save you some time.
What a blast!
By far the best course I have played at in Georgia yet!
Very nice clubhouse on arrival with a very friendly and helpful staff.
Tee boxes 9/10, few blemishes from the previous players of the day, not the courses fault.
Fairways 9/10, just all around great, great roll, full grass, no dead spots and green the entire way through.
Greens 10/10, very good shape, rolled fast adding difficulty to the overall round.
Course layout 9/10, each hole was its own for the most part, a few risk/reward holes and the view was spectacular for a golf course.
Difficulty 7/10, not the hardest course by any stretch, but plenty enjoyable, and to me thats what counts the most.
I would defiantly recommend this course to anyone of any skill level.
the only issue I had with this course was a few of the many bunkers did not have enough sand in them, if you hit too far below your ball, you would grab some clay.
overall 9/10 rating from me.
Summer Grove has Great Character
The course was well maintained, fairways in very good condition and the greens rolled true. I was very surprised and pleased with this course. Almost 30 min from my house but the course was well worth the ride.
Always a pleasure to play there...
Not a bad drive and well worth the time to play Summer Grove. Always looked forward to going there...
great layout, good value
Moved along very well. Very nice facilities. Will play again.
Did not play
Too much sand on the greens, didn't want to pay for those conditions
Only one 9 open!
I knew that they had just sanded the greens, but what they( golf now or the course)didn't tell me that only one 9 was open, when I made the turn to play the front again I was then behind 3 2sums and a 3 sum. Needless to say I didn't play the front nine twice. At least 3 -4 grreens had copious amounts of goose droppings , it was disgusting and a possible health hazard. The course needs a ton of work.
JOSHUA1:9
JOSHUA1:9 good shape. Greens were in good shape. So was fairways.
Love this place
This is truly a great place to play golf.. I play this course at least 2 to 3 times a week..
This course was in great shape
This course was worth every penny I paid. From the friendliness of the staff at check in, to the final hole. I was very impressed. The greens were perfect, not fast and not slow. This course is challenging, but also forgiving. I will be playing this course many more times.
everything you could want in a game of golf
its one of the best courses ive played in a long time, none of the greens are in bad shape, fairways are in excellent shape, the members and folks that play make sure the greens and fairways are kept up to our ability. ready to become a member. home away from home.
An attractive, good value course to be recommended.
After an unusual amount of rain, the course was easily playable but soggy in parts. Well maintained fairways and greens, good quality cart paths and plenty of course facilities (water, ball washers, toilets etc.)
Some challenging holes with well positioned bunkers and water hazards. Good course management and play along the fairway needed to have a successful round.
