SummerGrove Golf Club

Travel near or far to play this tract. Beautiful course with well manicured greens that can be perfect pace, and some a bit tricky. If you hit the rough, your ball will be sitting on a perfect little tuft of grass, just waiting on a great shot. Absolutely wonderful course. And the practice facilities are the best I've ever seen. Love this course, and that is why I play it as much as possible.

Good track to play. Summergrove is in my usual rotation of courses. Conditions are always good, and there is a good variety of holes. I'm a 5 hcp and always enjoy this place. Watch out for #9. Narrow green.

After playing this course several times, I've noticed that the front nine does not drain very well due to it being much flatter, so don't play it if it's been raining recently.

The course is in fair condition, but the think I can't get over is how penal the course is. The course plays through the Summergrove nieghborhood, so you've got plenty of distractions and out of bounds lining each hole. There's plenty of water and sand, too. It's a cliche course where "target golf" is demanded - either hit the target or pay a hefty price - very little room for creativity. This is the most obvious on hole #9, which is quite possibly the poorest designed hole I've ever encountered. It's a 440 yard par 4 with an approach shot to a green that may be smaller than Augusta National's #12, with water in front and sand behind, just like Augusta.

This course is the closest to where I live - less than 5 minutes - but after being frustrated too much on the course, I've started playing other courses that are farther away.

A wonderful course with a good mix of sand and water hazards. Very nice zoysia fairways and fast undulating greens.

The course is in the best shape that I have ever seen it - much improved since the first time I played there in the summer of 2013.

I'd recommend it to any golfer.

An easy front 9 - all flat and gettable. Best part of the round was the smooth and fast consistency of the greens. Really fantastic. Can't wait to go back.

Course starts you off with a simple par 4 and a nice par 5, then it starts to toughen up, Good Layout.

Overall had a good time on the course. Course was in good shape and greens were rolling well. On the front nine, our group sailed through first 7 holes, but then caught up to a slow ladies group that took 40 minutes to play the last two holes. Thankfully, they went in for a long lunch at the turn, and we were able to play the back nine in under two hours. Even with the backups, still played in 4:20, would be near 5 hour range if we were still behind that group. Staff was friendly, though I wish the had greater monitoring to prevent any backups. Would definitely return to this course, is worth the drive from Buckhead!

Be ready for a fun and wonderful in shape course that is somewhat challenging and with different looks from the tee box and approach shots. Most clubs will be used in your bag.

The pace of play can be painful although they have staff riding around I have come to believe they just ride around and to afraid to tell a group to pick up the pace.

If you like 5 hours of hit and wait then certainly this is a good place for that.

I hadn't played Summergrove in a few years and was pleasantly surprised at the way the course has grown in. The zoysia fairways were exceptional and I noticed they have shade tolerant grasses established in areas with less sunlight. The greens were beautiful as well. Private course feel but without the monthly dues. I'll be back...

As this course use to be Cannongate you can count on the course being in excellent condition. A few of the sand traps could benefit from a little maintenance but other then that the greens are large and can be challenging or very rewarding. The fairways are some of the best I have played and the course will really reward you if you are long off the tee. A few of the harder handicap holes even require it. Definitely worth the money, especially if you get a hot deal.

The course played extremely well. The green speeds were moderate although I was used to the green playing faster. My only complaint is that other golfers don't repair their ball marks. Overall the course is in great shape.

Several holes have a large number of bunkers, but no tough holes that make you want to quit.

This course is right around the corner from my parent's house but it's so well maintained at a reasonable price, it's hard to play anywhere else. Greens were aerated about a month before and were putting beautifully. Friendly staff and a wonderful experience!

This is a must play course in the Newnan Ga. area. Great service, great course, great value. Greens, very good, tee box very good, fairways very good with a lake par (3) that is awesome.

Booked for two, but played with local father and son on fathers day that made the round very enjoyable. Greens were in excellent condition except for ball marks that were not repaired from previous players.
