Golf Club of Houston - Tournament Course

Great course - overwatered in front of greens making chipping from the apron more challenging than usual - also resulting in tons of divots that were not sanded - maybe due to overseeding?

Pace of play was okay but paired with two other players, one of whom took 3 shots for every one of mine and my playing partner. Courses in the US need to require and schedule players based on handicaps - as they do in Europe - only way pace of play is ever going to be solved. Also, Marshalls should be on the course, coaching and nudging slow players along.

Course conditions were great! Greens were very fast & immaculate. Drink cart girl was friendly and visible on front & back nine. Starter Joe was awesome & worked to get us moving on time. Unfortunately after that, we waited on every hole, never saw a marshal & our round took 5 hours. Was surprised to see that both of our carts were dirty, but they ran well. Despite the slow group in front of us, we enjoyed playing this course & will come back when we catch some discounted prices.

Course was amazing. The carts were backed up so they let us use a members only cart which is awesome so we didn’t miss our tee time.

Nothing special about the course. There are better courses for the amount they charge. I could see this being 60-70 but nothing past. I most likely won’t play here again

Perhaps the best condition I have ever seen this course in. Greens were fast and smooth. Group ahead of us slowed down after nine holes and disrupted our rhythm.

Great afternoon round. Had a fivesome in front of us, but they played fairly well. It was cart path only so, it was already slower than usual. Only one of them in the group that goes to check his ball, then walks back to his cart, only to hit a short shot…. Every time.. pro tip, if this is you, please just take two or three clubs, then you won’t have to walk so dang much. Dude was smoked by the end of the round.

Stellar course, will be back for a hot deal or two.

Need a Marshall to speed play up. Our 4 some was waiting on 2 some. Not good.

Excellent greens, nice Bunker's- challenging tee shots, but fair.

Course obsessed with rationing carts to the point they make you stand in line til they bring one up one at a time. As a result I didn’t have any time on the range …?Also the young lady at check in was .. let’s say … unpleasant

Course was in great shape.
