Challenging but fair.
It was really fun to play the same course the pros played the Houston Open on. As a senior who drives the ball 210-220 yards, I thought the course played fair from the men's white tees and didn't ask me to hit impossible shots. Condition was great as always and the greens present a challenge in judging speed and break. Very enjoyable!

Few or none distance markets
How far out am I? No clue. Few markers. I would have like a picture of the hole … maybe on the back of score card. Slow pace and had to wait which puts a big snag in your game. Cart path only makes for a longer day but understand why.

Favorite Course in Houston but ...
Great course - overwatered in front of greens making chipping from the apron more challenging than usual - also resulting in tons of divots that were not sanded - maybe due to overseeding?
Pace of play was okay but paired with two other players, one of whom took 3 shots for every one of mine and my playing partner. Courses in the US need to require and schedule players based on handicaps - as they do in Europe - only way pace of play is ever going to be solved. Also, Marshalls should be on the course, coaching and nudging slow players along.
