Golf Club of Houston - Tournament Course

We got rained out and can’t wait to go back and finish up.

Very friendly staff at the pro shop. Greeted us as we walked in. Made us feel welcome. Driving range is very nice. It's a tough tract if you can't find the fairway. The rough is thick and unforgiving. Its a 2 club rough. keep the ball down the middle and you will have a chance to score. Greens are fast but but they are the best in Houston IMO. I can't afford to play there often but it was our last chance to play before my son leaves for college. The memoires were worth the price.

Our new favorite course! Even it's a 45 min drive from west of Houston, it is so worth it. Absolutely love playing this course.

Course was in great shape pre LIV tourney but they had it as cart path only with zero notification prior to showing up and checking in. Understandable but would have been nice to have that communication ahead of time. Really slowed down pace of play.

First time playing here and although the pace was a little slow when I played, I will definitely be returning for future rounds!

Great golf course with perfect shape..want to play again..

Course is in amazing condition I'm assuming because of the LIV tournament in June. Had to wait for 20 minutes to get a cart, which is ridiculous considering the green fee, and the pace of play is awful.

Worth playing but I won't be back unless it's a special occasion. Too expensive.

I recently visited Houston on a work conference and was able to play a Sunday round at the Golf Club of Houston. The course is highly manicured and I felt I was in South West Florida on a championship course with Bermuda type greens that rolled quickly and Florida fairway grass. The layout was fun and not too difficult but bring your driver (250yds min) from Blue tees. I enjoyed the layout and the staff was very nice . I would play this course every time I visit Houston . One annoying thing was most holes were in cart path only mode when only a few were cautioned to avoid by the starter James. James was very helpful and a terrific guy. The gps in the cart would disallow you to drive on the open fairways but it was a lot of holes ( 80%) and for almost 100 dollars - annoying. I can only assume they are preparing for an upcoming LIV tournament, also watch tee boxes rotated , you may be hitting further back than you realize . But again a great course to play!
