Golfer Reviews
Special
We were very fortunate to play GCOH Tourney course last week & loved it!!!! No houses - just a fantastic place to play near the airport!!! Way better than some of Houston's private clubs- former shell houston open home!!! DO IT!!!
Greens are great.
Greens are in great shape. We did notice some hog damage but none on the fairways. Pace of play was great and cart service was great.
We grabbed a HOT Deal and felt it was a good value.
The location is great for midtown folks but if you live west of downtown it’s a haul.
Great course. Great conditions.
I played five well recommended courses during a recent trip to Houston and this was by far my favorite. Really great layout with no uninteresting holes. Conditions were excellent, best maintained traps I'd seen in some time and greens were pretty much flawless, rolled fast and very true. Staff was very friendly and helpful from pro shop to starter. Cart girl was really on her game. We'll stocked pro shop and nice practice area. Five stars across the board.
A Gem
If you want to feel like a PGA pro, play this course. We'll taken care of. Fast greens that move just enough. Plenty of hazards to keep it interesting yet also wide to stay safe.
Came almost 2 hours early and the starter was able to get me out early!! Cheers.
Can't wait to play again.
Great Golf Course
I’ve never been disappointed with this course.
If you prefer a goat ranch this course is not for you.
It’s as good as it gets.
Great Course
We went off early as a twosome. Might have been better to just wait as we quickly caught a few foursomes and weren’t let through.
Course was in great shape. Range is excellent. I’d go back for sure.
Price for value
I thought this price was too expensive. But I realized that the price is worth enough after going a round. Good quality of the course, frindly staff, and no pressure from later players are established for players.
Tough, but nice in every way
This was my first time at tGCoH. Check-in was easy, with a very friendly and helpful person. The driving range was wonderful.
The course was long, and kind of psyches you out on the tee box, with rough and water looking to be un-carryable (for an older mid-handicapper). But the course, though, long, was pretty fair.
The course was in great shape. The greens were glorious but got really fast later in the afternoon.
I look forward to coming back to this course. With the Hot Deal from Golf Now, it's a pretty nice resort-like experience for a fair price.
For $200 you could not use a cart per the starter. That was new to me and worse than that that he tried to convince me that is what everybody does all around the world. There’s a big insult somebody has been playing golf for a long time and truly all around the world.
Can’t ride on the course
For $190, I wasn’t allowed to ride because no singles are allowed a cart even though it was included in the price. He even tried to convince me that, it’s what “every” club does. Singles share carts!!! Otherwise, would have been a nice day
