Golf Club of Houston - Tournament Course

Course was in great January shape. T-s, greens, fairways where well manicured and green. Rough was dormant as expected and cut down. I'll plan to hit this once a month up until the June tourney to see how the course progresses from amateur friendly to professional insanity. Just note that in May, whiskey will take take the sting out of a triple bogey 4putt when they start rolling 12 to 13 on the greens. Hum Baby!!

I played Golf Club of Houston with perfect weather and perfect greens. There had been rain 2 days before and it was still cart path only. I have played the Tournament Course about 3 times and I look forward to playing again. The only negative was the twosome ahead of us. The man was apparently providing lessons or instruction to the woman. She had a few swings and misses. Our foursome was waiting on that twosome. He was a very good player so I know he knew better than to be so slow. She should probably be at the range and take some formal lessons before playing a challenging course like The Tournament Course.

The driving range was closed for regular patrons but open to members or Houston university players.

The course was amazing. Very beautiful ambient and amazing condition.

Can recommend it to anyone in the region.

Course and practice area are excellent. Pace of play was slow at 5 hours.

Greens and sand traps were great.

Seems like this course has gone down in conditions but up in prices. I’ll preface by saying this is an awesome track - lots of challenges but the overall experience isn’t worth $150. This is the second time I arrived early to get a warmup in but they had no carts ready. Spent all my extra time waiting for them to turnaround a cart for me. No cart girl on the course and nobody staffing the halfway house. Not even sure the hotnow prices are worth it

What a neat layout. Very challenging almost every shot. Just drive the ball straight and hit your ball to the green and then be able to put on the fastest greens in Houston. And you'll be fine. Stay out of the Bonkers as they are usually rather deep. Very well maintained. Fairway bunkers on almost every hole. Every Green protected by bunkers. Very very challenging!

The GCH Tournament Course was in great shape when I played. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Beautiful, challenging course. Afternoon play is a good value.
