Golfer Reviews
Great shape
You can tell greens were punched a few weeks ago but it was still rolling fast a pure. Course is in great shape
OMG The Rough!
Have played GC of Houston many times & have never seen the rough as penal as it was yesterday. That & the wind made for a very tough day, but that's what you should expect from a tour course.
Great track but be prepared to struggle at times.
Punched greens, slow play
Hate to be one of those people complaining about slow play, but 15 min wait on the tee multiple times in a round is unacceptable. Circled back to other holes to complete an 18... found 4 holes with no one on them - nobody out there managing the course. Course is beautiful but greens were punched last week so not too fun on that front either.
(8 handicapper) exceptional value with impeccable attention to detail on the course. Pace of play well managed. Nice to see ice and water stations on course dispersed properly. Highly recommended.
Golf Club of Houston
Played this morning. Course conditions were excellent.
Greens running fairly quick. Maybe 10/11.
Fairways were perfect.
It was hot today. 100.
But if you can get a good deal, is higher recommend this course in the Houston area
No rain check and Slow play
Unbelievable allowing people and charging people with a wet course to play in the rain not giving a rain check. Slow play without a marshal around. Waited at least 10 to 15 minutes between shots in the back nine when rain subsided. What a momentum-killer not just for my group but for 2 to 3 groups behind us in the tee box waiting
Great Shape
Could use a little water but the greens rolled pure and the layout was amazing. Played from the tips so it was a good challenge. Only complaint is a few greens are rough from people not fixing divots.
Championship caliber still
Course was in excellent condition, could play The Houston Open now and would be a tough go. Greens were well manicured and rolled true. Bunkers could have used a little bit of touch but with current environment it’s still pretty good. Driving range was in good shape and staff were all very friendly. The “Tourn” was closed when we tried to get some drinks but the course provides some bottle water in the cooler on the cart.
